25.01.2022 Hi guys. As of 3pm today I have decided to close until we are in stage 3 restrictions again. It is just not viable to remain open so we will be closing our doors as it’s cheaper to be closed than to be open at this stage. I had tried to stay positive but there is just not enough local trade to justify remaining open and this lockdown has showed that the majority of our customers travel more than 5kms to shop with us.... It is what it is, so we will be going back into hibernation until this stage 4 lifts, we were doing really well in stage 3 before the 5km travel limit so we will reopen when that happens. Let’s hope it’s only one and a bit more weeks! We will be doing up veggie boxes with the remaining stock and still have heaps of bread and milk available so come in and do a shop before we close up again! Thanks for understanding, I had been trying not to do this but after the past week the town is like a ghost town really as everyone is doing the right thing and staying home, lets hope the numbers drop and we can start getting things back to some kind of normal!

21.01.2022 Hi all The new announcements haven’t given us much happiness. We will update when we plan to reopen, but at this stage it won’t be until the 5km travel restriction is lifted. This looks to be lifted on the 26th October! We will keep you posted but we will be remaining on holidays until the travel ban is lifted as there’s just no point opening up at this stage.

09.01.2022 Hi guys! I thought I might just check in and share a few of our holiday snaps (extended non- optional holiday but we are making the most of it!) The kids have actually asked me if I’m ever going back to work! I assure them I will be! Our pet sheep have had a couple of lambs, and mum has given us some of her lambs to bottle raise so it’s been a busy time for us really! We got a new pony, (Princess Erin - the white one) so we have been spending lots of time with her ... Finally got little Diva into her cart! She didn’t love it, but the kids certainly did I’ll pop some videos on the next post as I can’t add them here Looking forward to seeing you all again when we are back at it in a few weeks

07.01.2022 Mums been busy this lock down growing veggies on her organic veggie farm. For those who don’t know us my cafe and store idea came from when I was working on my mums organic veg store on weekends. I’m a chef by trade and spent my sundays for the last few years driving the van for mum to her market stall in Bundoora and worked on the store with my kiddos in tow. Opening up the store was my idea of selling local produce in our own area rather than packing it all up and dragging ...it over to the other side of town. I grew up on a commercial potato farm which mum has converted now to organic produce and grows her own produce to sell at her own market stall. With covid knocking out mums market for the past 6 months some of this produce is set to hit my store when I re-open! Very exciting for us! Here we have kale, Swiss chard, silverbeet, brocolli, cauliflower and cabbages! Mum grows her own seedlings and the kids all help her plant them with her. It’s been a busy school holidays for my two kiddos that’s for sure!

06.01.2022 Hi guys, Thanks for all the lovely messages wishing me a great holiday, I’ve had a great week off with my family (and all my animals ) Until the end of the stage 4 restrictions our closing times will vary from day to day. ... We have been closing around 4:30-5:00 each day this week (depending on demand) and to be honest it’s really hardly worth us opening at all at the moment from a financial point of view. Having said this we don’t want to let down the all of our lovely customers who are still local enough to be able to support us through this shitty time, so we will remain open and trading for the next three weeks, 9am-4/5pm depending on the trade for the day. If you are one of our regular later shoppers please give me a call 59425335 as I am happy to hang around later if I know you are coming in! You guys know who you are so please call me up and I’ll wait for you! We are super grateful for the continued support, and we are supporting our locals by staying open during this time for them. We realise we are in a much better position than many other businesses who are not able to continue trading so we will get through the next three weeks and look forward to brighter times. Lots of love to you all for your support and I’m looking forward to seeing all of you who haven’t been able to come in after the restrictions lift Coral
