24.01.2022 The pickle experiment. Taste tests next.

22.01.2022 This will be the place of our first ‘big’ garlic plant. Ev has ripped it, biodynamic preps have been added, a green manure crop dug in, a harvest of potatoes and when we are told NOW we will plant our garlic.

21.01.2022 We learn. Thanks to the wonderful Jocelyn Colleran, we are learning about all aspects of garlic production. From little things big things will grow

21.01.2022 These blue moons are yummy and their skins revert to cream on cooking. Waiting to try the pink eyes.

20.01.2022 Purple skinned white flesh sweet potato. Wedges, declared the children.

15.01.2022 Yesterday I forgot to take my device so missed another brag photo. But trust me, the pineapple three kids and three adults demolished in record time was sweet and juicy beyond any I have eaten. As with many things, one day we will have excess of all things to share. An example would be my tea camellia. I am soon to take cuttings, so in three years should have heaps ...... Makes you love rocket. Already growing.

13.01.2022 Loving fennel in ALL it's stages. These flowers were picked last Wednesday and are still glorious. Fennel is a great cut and come again crop and we are currently eating side shoots from the, only a few, plants I tried this with last season. We have an abundance of blooms, seedlings from our own seed in the ground, more to come and plans to have excess for teas. Slowly, slowly, we wind a path to greater abundance. Happy full moon in Pieces

11.01.2022 The Farm Ladies are having a 'meeting' with the garlic guru tomorrow and it's going to be a vision day. The below is one of my visions, I love food as medicine and herbalism in particular. Bear with us friends, slow and steady.

08.01.2022 Yes, not ideal, but they will greet the morning.

07.01.2022 Pruning chills plants. Oil? Muscle rubs? Dried for savoury salt blends? Any suggestions? because there will be more .....

06.01.2022 Great sadness. Mr fox came a'calling last night. Tonight we have three in a penthouse, one roster and a hen in a makeshift pen, inside, nine chicks in a large cage, inside, one hen, in Amalinde's bedroom, one roster and two ducks outside soon to be joined by a terrier watch. Tomorrow we are seriously making pens. Sad on an otherwise wonderful day.

03.01.2022 About to start the cycle again, this time with our seeds. Both for new beds and growing corms for others.

03.01.2022 Can't believe that two flower heads, one seed tray, has turned into over a hundred echinacea seedlings!
