08.01.2022 The rhythms of Africa were flowing Friday night when our man from Ghana, Townsville’s own Mr Edward Osae handed over the bass to Heather and took the mic to sing up some magic with the Firelight Collective. Plug it in turn it up and enjoy #cosbobby’sfromghana #firelightcollective #Africafestival #townsvilleshines #livemusic #collective #sundaychill #wasntmuchlight
01.01.2022 The top image is a photo of the Melbourne Cup with patrons who are so intoxicated that they're sitting in a pile of rubbish, which, let's face it, would've been... one of very few options when it comes to hygenic seating. I haven't yet found the numbers relating to first aid admissions at the event and I'm interested to know this year's tally as they're was at least one ambulance transfer last year. The image below was taken by Ilias Tsiphlidis Photography at Esoteric Festival this year and despite the thousands of intoxicated people, you can not see a single piece of garbage on the ground. As for hospital admissions, there were two and neither were due to over intoxication. Someone who just really fucking loves climbing trees fell out of a tree and medical attention was required for someone with a pre-existing medical condition. But we're shutting down music festivals because of the dangers, right?
