19.01.2022 Size does not equal health . Don’t tell me I’m not committed because I don’t want to weigh & measure every piece of food I eat. Don’t tell me I must be lazy because I am Not the size society tells me I should be!... Don’t tell me I’m unhealthy because I carry some extra weight. My weight doesn’t make me unhealthy, obsessing everyday over what I am eating makes me unhealthy. Don’t tell me I don’t love my body because it’s not a size 8. Don’t tell me I don’t love myself or take care of myself because I don’t look like you. Don’t tell me I’m setting my kids a bad example by being over weight! Here’s some things! There is 1 skinny person in this photo and 1 fat person in this photo. The skinny person eats cream buns and coke for breakfast & never works out. And the fat person works out a couple times a week, does 10,000+ steps a day & eats eggs & tomato for breakfast! I’m not lazy. I’m not uncommitted. I’m committed to a lot of things. My kids, my husband my job - but I’m not committed to a lifestyle of weighing everything I eat every single day & recording it. I do love my body. I do value my health. But what I don’t value is having it consume and take over my life anymore. Weight & happiness are not mutually exclusive! Coz I’m pretty fucking happy with where my life is right now. . my kids know their mum is strong They know I can climb monkey bars with them & take them down water slides and Carry them when their tired! That’s what they know! Size does not equal health. So the next time you want to try to shame me for being an over weight fitness professional, stick a fork in your eye! . Don’t let anyone shame you for your body. Don’t let society dictate your health. Workout because you enjoy it. Workout because it’s empowering. Count calories if it works for you & your mental health. And if doesn’t - don’t fuxking do it. . Thanks david for being apart of my TED talk! 18.01.2022 The look you give When someone says pregnancy isn’t an excuse . No it’s not an excuse but it’s actually a pretty good reason - to slow down - change up the intensity of your training... - reduce your training volume - lower your weights - change up your training - take more rest days . Training through pregnancy & having a no days off mentality doesn’t make you a hero. And not training through pregnancy doesn’t make you lazy. . Pregnancy has so many variables, and each journey is different. If Sometimes all you can manage is getting out of bed and facing the day because as soon as you open your eyes that morning sickness kicks in - then just manage that!!! . If you want to train through pregnancy that’s awesome & if you can if definitely encourage you to. But For some that might look like 3 sessions a week and for others it might be 5 sessions! . 04.01.2022 @melissa_1 smashing her Back Squat session!!! From being fearful of doing sets at 40kg to smashing a PB double at 72.5!!! . LESSSS GOOOO!!! She’s set some high goals and we’re gonna chase after them!!! She is stronger than she thinks & were out here breaking those mental barriers . This woman has been through a lot!! Cancer, breast removal & then jumping through endless hoops to get reconstructive surgery. BUT through it all she’s stayed true to just being healthier, gett...ing stronger & being grateful to be alive. I’m proud to get to be apart of her journey & even prouder as her friend .
