23.01.2022 Have you noticed it yet how you’ve grown through Covid? Have you put aside time to reflect on the past 7 months and how it has shaped you? ... This new ‘normal’ that never seems to stay, well, normal, has probably kept you on your toes, kept you changing direction, and kept you feeling uncertain of your future And if you were to spend a little time reflecting, you'll probably notice all the obstacles you've overcome, all the disappointment you've risen above, and all the compassion you've given to those around you This year you’ve been bombarded with challenges that have made you stronger, more resilient and more compassionate. Are you starting to notice it now?

20.01.2022 A big morning of classes means a big home cooked brekkie! Yum! #brekkietime

18.01.2022 One of the coolest things about coming back to the studio after lockdown is seeing so many of our members looking stronger and fitter than pre-COVID days! Vidya is the perfect example, this super women showed up in the studio after virtual training with us during lockdown and she is looking stronger than ever before! She gained lean muscle and almost completely eliminated her back and joint pain. Vidya is such a power house now that I think even her husband is intimidated

18.01.2022 This has really captured the mood today How to navigate a pandemic definitely wasn’t in the manual!

18.01.2022 Step 1 Know your priorities for your goal Step 2 Hit them with ruthless consistency

18.01.2022 Finally we did it! I'm so inspired and proud of fellow lockdown survivors both here and around the world. But it's not over yet... ...And if you're feeling at all emotional about covid restrictions right now, this is for you

17.01.2022 Ladies if you're looking for a fast and effective training method to build muscle and bone strength, this is it! Plyometric training is soo good for muscle and bone strength and coordination. Plus you get super fit super fast! You can simply add it into any workout by jumping. Eg vertical jumps, broad jumps, box jumps, lunge jumps. ... Just make sure you train safely. I recommend having some strength training experience before busting out any big jumps #plyometrics #homeworkout #training #womenshealth

17.01.2022 Hate wasting food? Same here! Celery is a constant in our house hold but most people throw half of it away. Here's a simple strategy to prevent wasting half your stalks. Throw them in your morning smoothie! ... The best part- you get your nourishing greens without the taste. Double win

16.01.2022 Have you got your health and fitness systemised? There’s a reason that we all remember to brush our teeth each morning we have a system for it. You either do it before bed, or before your shower, or after your breakfast You don’t have to think about it, wait until you feel like it, plan it out everyday or worry about when you’re going to get the time, you just follow the system ... And the system works. It works so well, you can repeat it every single day (probably even twice a day!). Imagine if you did the same with your fitness? No more time thinking about when you’re going to workout, no more beating yourself up and no more waiting for motivation to arrive. Just follow the system and ta-da, it’s done! Cool right? Helping our members put systems in place is one of the most effect ways we can help them towards their fitness goals. And the best bit? these aren’t just temporary solutions. They are realistic, long-term systems that actually work, for the rest of their lives.

13.01.2022 This has got to be one of my favourite action shots of the year so far! So much strength and power Go Emma!

13.01.2022 Ending the weekend with a strength set. Feeling energised for the week ahead! # #strengthtraining #strongbodystrongmind #workouttime

13.01.2022 This has got to be one of my favourite action shots of the year so far! So much strength and power! #strongwomencan

11.01.2022 Exercising for fun is just as important as exercising for an outcome. Which is why relaxed weekend rides are a bit of a ritual for me. I see so many women start resenting exercise if their goal is to do better than their last workout. ... This is just too much pressure and it causes people to start avoiding workouts. We need to balance our exercise... Some of my workouts are hard for optimal strength and fitness results Some of my workouts are calming, to aid recovery Some of my workouts are competitive for a real challenge and sense of pride and on the weekend, my workouts are purely for enjoyment. I go for as long as I feel like and I do whatever I feel like. Cue post ride Cafe brekkie Hope you're enjoying your weekend and whatever wonderful activities you're doing!

10.01.2022 See this super strong woman? After just a few sessions of learning to Deadlift, Anita's pumping out 4 sets of 35kg lifts! She improved her lift so quickly that I didn't bring enough weights to the park to add more ... It was so cool to see you feeling so strong Anita And my favourite part... After Anita's final lift and with a beeming smile on her face, she says "all those young girls keep talking about strong being the new sexy, now I actually get it!"

08.01.2022 Kate has been training with Vicki since the start of lockdown and has gone from overthinking and doubting every movement and exercise she did, to a strong super woman! Her commitment to her fitness is truely inspiring, sticking to her weekly sessions throughout all the challenges and changes lockdown has thrown at her. Vicki is absolutely loves her sessions with Kate and we’re all super proud of what she’s achieved, it’s great to see progress like this!

07.01.2022 Want easier fitness results? One of the most effective ways to boost your training results is to improve your quality of sleep Our bodies are designed to rejuvenate, repair and reenergise at night. So if you want to be fitter, stronger, burn more fat, and have more energy, getting better sleep is the best way to improve it all at once.

07.01.2022 Looking for a workout that offers strength, cardiovascular and cross training benefits all in one? Sand running is so much more than an energising way to start the day, its one of my favourite ways to workout! Why... - it builds strength, stability and co-ordination - it improves your running technique - it increases your calorie burn - it gives you the biggest bang for your buck (honestly, you won't need much time to feel the intensity) - it puts unusual stress on muscles and your feet to improve balance in the body But what I truly love most about running in the sand is that its soo invigorating! Give it a go, your body will love you for it. Tips... - due to the added stress beach running places on your muscles, start slow and build up gradually - intervals work really well in the sand. Run for 50m, walk back and repeat. You won't need to do many reps before you start feeling it because its such an effective workout! - finish with an ocean dip to help your muscles recover This strategy can also improve energy and immunity. Aim for 2-5minutes of immersion. Enjoy!!

07.01.2022 This is it. We’re closing another chapter of The Fitness Partnership, for today we ran our final virtual training session! And I gotta tell you, throughout the 7 months of lockdown, our very own community of women kept us going.... Thank you for being so epic! We know every single one of you have overcome your own personal challenges, and each of you have an empowering story to tell as a result. And despite the endless accounts of personal loss, employment uncertainty, home schooling chaos, plummeting motivation and the overwhelming sentiments of ‘I’m so over this’, you kept moving in whatever way you could - online workouts, daily 10,000 step challenge, bike rides, started running, online yoga, home mobility sessions To say that training through lockdown (especially stage 4) was tough is a MASSIVE understatement. But you ladies did it! And we’re sooo ridiculously proud of you Throughout all the ups and downs, the constant ‘pivoting’ (a word which we now pledge to never use again!), and what felt like a never-ending ban of human interaction, we stuck together And we are now so much stronger for it. Your stories of resilience, compassion, support, strength and love are inspiring and make everything that we did in lockdown a million times more worth it. Congratulations for conquering what has been an emotional and challenging time. We’re all onboard to help you start rebuilding a new life with a brighter future! You are all our ‘member of the month’ this month! And we simply can’t wait to have you back in the studio!!

06.01.2022 Clean Eating is going surprising well this week!

05.01.2022 Working on our chin up progressions today. How good does Amy look! #strongwomen #chinup #strongereveryday

03.01.2022 Here in Melbourne (and in most other places around the world) people are feeling isolated, scared, insecure of their future and in need of more happiness, laughter and a heap more good news! Isn’t it funny how we often find what we’re looking for Now more than ever it’s important to choose your company carefully ... Take a break from people who leave your feeling flat, unheard, and unvalued. Hang out with more people who inspire you. Hang out with more people who lift you up. Hang out with more people who share gratitude Hang out with people who no longer want to blame or belittle And most importantly, hang out with people who want to champion you as you make your life better and brighter These people exist. Keep searching for them and then never let them go.

02.01.2022 Let’s stop hitting PAUSE when it comes to our health and fitness. Have you ever hit pause on your training and health goals? I’ll start training again as soon as... the kids go back to school work calms down ChristmasI mean New Year’s Eve is over Momentum is one of the biggest challenge’s women face when it comes to getting stronger and healthier. Because every time we take a break from ‘being healthy’, we lose all the great results we worked so hard to get! The ‘2 steps forward, 2 steps back’ approach is a total motivation killer! Constantly pressing pause causes so much more than just a physical yo-yo effect. Have you ever noticed how angry you get with yourself when you give-up on a commitment to yourself? Have you noticed how it causes self-doubt to creep in, making it even harder to recommit in the future? So what can we do about it? Firstly, I think we can all agree that the pause button needs to become a thing of the past! What works well for a lot of our members is replacing the pause with acceptance I accept that life is a little hectic right now so I might not meet my healthy eating expectations, but I’ll do what I can tonight by having a side salad with the pizza. I accept that my last-minute work deadline prevented me from training, but I can still do a 5 minute HIIT workout just before dinner The attitude that comes with finding small ways to ‘be healthy’ when the bigger gestures feel way too hard means that you are constantly proving that you prioritise health no matter what. It may not look like the perfect picture of health, and that’s OK. Making small yet constant daily decisions to take the stairs, turn TV off 30minutes earlier, or eat an apple before the chocolate bar will build your identity as a healthy person. Health is an ever-evolving way of ‘being’, it’s not perfection, and there’s no pause option. How can you be just a little bit healthier today?

02.01.2022 Who you going for tomorrow? V Weird that this will be the first final to be played outside Victoria and no kicking the footy round with this awesome bunch this year but we’ll still be watching and supporting our Victorian teams!!! #afl #grandfinal #geelongcats #richmondtigers #victoria #lockdownlife

02.01.2022 With the temp today, this couldn’t be more true!

01.01.2022 Functional Strength means so much more than just getting stronger! What we love so much about this training approach is that it teaches us how to move with quality so that we prevent injury and eliminate pain. By combining strength training with movements that promote increased range-of-motion, we bulletproof our body ... What’s even better about these sorts of moves is that they can be done at home with a trusty broomstick

01.01.2022 Focussing on nutrition in our Back to Basics program this week, and there’s no better place to start than with your brekkie! The typical western breakfast often lacks 2 essential components - the PROTEIN and the VEGGIES! Once you’re conscious of this, it’s really easy to start improving your brekkie and your overall nutrition with just a few tweaks!... And veggies in the morning don’t have to be boring, look at this little mound of deliciousness!
