25.01.2022 LIVE FLAMENCO SHOW

24.01.2022 Dear Canberra Flamenco Aficionados and Students, Im simplifying my method of updating my audience base directly. Please join my new App (details below) if you wish to receive direct notification of local flamenco news and class updates from me. Team App allows me to target push notifications to specific groups so you choose what you receive (e.g. Students, Performance News, Social Group Pea Flamenca, Dance Workshops, Guitarists, Percussionists, etc). Members can be part o...f multiple groups. I can send news, events, photos, practice videos (and lots more) and pick exactly who sees it. Content gets automatically sent via push notification to smartphone members, but if you dont have a smart phone youll receive the notices by email. Once you join, you can even start a flamenco chat room. I know, right? If you wish to stop receiving my direct notices for any reason, or simply want to change groups, its very easy for you to make these changes yourself. I think this will be better than using Facebook groups as not everyone is on Facebook all the time or can be out of range, and Team App is private and safe, I can avoid trolls and hackers, and I can decide who receives what information - great for differentiating general public posts from stuff I only want my students, or certain people, to see. You can also tell your friends to join my App if they like flamenco. WHAT TO DO: Its free! Download Team App from the App Store for iOS users, or Google Play for the Android App. Or if you dont have a smart phone please let me know and I will add you manually. Once youve found my team name, The Flamenco Centre Canberra, please register and request access to my App. From there you can join any of the public groups (youll see that some groups are private and locked for my students only). Thank you! Join now - I have some interesting news for next week... Links are here if you need them: App Store: https://itunes.apple.com//team-app-your-team-y/id625607532 Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details Thanks, Toms

21.01.2022 OK, so your flamenco teacher is morphing into an ethnologist! I'm proud to show you my new website: ... As you know I'm embarking on my project to save traditional Motu pottery from dying out, and am frantically trying to raise funds to get my team there to document the LAST SURVIVING POTTER in Boera village. So far I've raised $400, but need to at least hit at least $4,000 to buy the airfares and visas for the Team. Please help - ANY amount will be gratefully accepted. You can pay straight into the Paypal account onthis link: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr or pop it into my bank account by EFT. I can send you the details if you need them. Thank you! 06.01.2022 FLAMENCO DANCE WORKSHOPS

05.01.2022 AN AFTERNOON OF FLAMENCO IN CANBERRA Canberra lacks a ‘flamenco zone’ - until now! You’re invited to step into a new experience in Canberra - an inaugural Flamenco Zone at Smith’s Alternative Café, Saturday 19th December.... Bring a friend and while away the afternoon, sipping coffee or a Tinto de Verano (a classic Spanish summer drink), listening to a choice selection of some of the best recordings of flamenco from my private collection. This is not a performance (I’m actually organising a professional performance at Smith's further down the track - but more about that soon). This is a free event - a relaxing afternoon in a charming bohemian arts café with some gorgeous flamenco music, and a chance to make some new flamenco friends. I welcome any discussion about the music, or anything at all about flamenco, so please come and find me on the day for a good chin wag. You never know - when a few flamenco aficionados get together and the mood is right there’s always the possibility of at least some palmas (hand-clapping), and if the spirit moves someone, there might be the occasional dance expression. If you like to jam, please feel free to bring a cajón or a guitar, or your clapping hands, and let’s just see what unfolds. I hope you can come to support the beginning of something very beautiful for Canberra VENUE: Smith’s Alternative Café, 76 Alinga St, Civic (The Melbourne Building) DATE: Saturday 19th December 2015 TIME: 4pm - 6pm REFRESHMENTS: Smith’s will have their café and bar operating as usual. You must try a Tinto de Verano - very refreshing! Please share this notice with your friends. ¡Saludos Flamencos! 02.01.2022 Attention flamenco guitar enthusiasts: Manuel Cazas is available to visit Canberra for a special workshop anytime during the period 29th to the 3rd April (Easter). If we can get enough students it would be a wonderful, unforgettable experience for all involved. I predict the cost would be around $60 per person for a 2 hour workshop - a bargain considering the status of this man.... This would be in addition to the regular workshops by Felipe Kunze. Hands up anyone?
