Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us since we reopened It's been lovely seeing old faces return to floating after a long-break & of course our die-hard floaters who have been with us for years, you know who you are guys! We have our fortnightly couples & our mum & son's ... We have met some wonderful newbies & love starting you on your float journey , I must mention Anika, Jess & Pat. All 3 ladies really didn't want to try floating & are all now converts. We have changed their lives & they have made a big impact on us, gotta love the benefits of floating guys! 23.01.2022 I'm sure most of you are aware of the SA hard lock-down directive issued yesterday during the Premier's press conference. We are temporarily closed for at least the next 6 days. All clients with bookings during this time will be contacted and their appointments will be cancelled. 20.01.2022 Hello float family we are really sorry, our doors are closed again. Yesterday all Float Centre's in Adelaide received an email from the Police Commissioner forbidding us to offer Floatation Therapy to our clients. If we open and offer our services we risk a fine and so will you for being on the premises The Commissioner has informed us we are a Bath-house, and will be included in phase 3 for South Australia. ... Before opening we checked, we double checked, we even triple checked that we were permitted to open as part of phase 2. We called the Premier's office and was told the decision was SA Health's. We called the Police hotline, again we were informed our opening was for SA Health to decided. SA Health confirmed we were closed down as a Wellness Centre and can reopen as a Wellness Centre. That call was recorded from their end. We completed & submitted our Covid-safe plan. All was looking rosy, our cleaning protocol in-between clients pre-covid days is higher than what SA Health recommend for a confirmed covid-19 case on the premises. We had this in the bag Alas no, we are to remain closed . I Adelaide and living here but honestly we really are the Nanny State! I had to google Bath-houses, apparently they do exist in Australia and also in Adelaide. Now, we're not prudes and whatever floats your boat is ok with us. But really Commissioner .......... us a Bath-house, c'mon gives us a break!! Our float rooms are for individual use only, completely private, as isolated as you can get and we certainly do not offer 'play-rooms' And now we wait it out yet again ........! We have spent the day in the garden, planting some new herbs & shrubs We have a new therapy to compliment your float or IR sauna session. Big drum roll & fanfare It's called Normatec, which is pneumatic compression therapy!! I absolutely LOVE it !! ... Here's our good friend Michael aka 'big panda' giving the legs a try before his float. He was so relaxed going into his float we couldn't wake him and he went much deeper in his float than normal We have legs, hips & arms, each body part is worn separately. Imagine a deep tissue & lymphatic drainage massage performed by 5 massage therapists all at the same. 5 pairs of hands massaging your legs and YOU are in control of the pressure. It's not just for the athletes amongst us, you only have to take one look at me and see I am not an athlete I have been using the legs & hips for fluid retention and have lost 2 kilos in only 4 sessions!!
