25.01.2022 REMEMBER: There is no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end. ... Scott Adams

24.01.2022 HOPEWELL HOSPICE On Friday 13 June 2014, we had the privilege of delivering Bouquets of Kindness to clients of the Hopewell Hospice & Paradise Kids. This a palliative care facility at Arundall on the Gold Coast who have in-house patients and also support patients who are receiving care at home from either family members or volunteers. The nominations to receive a Bouquet of Kindness were a mix of in-house patients, home patients, volunteers and family members who were all ...part of this very difficult and special end of life process. We didnt expect to be able to hand deliver to the in-house patients but were reassured by staff that the flowers would be a welcome distraction and they were right. What a privilege to put a little smile on their faces if only briefly, just to let them know that the community cares and that they are not alone. They were surprised, delighted and humbled ... a very moving experience for us all. See more

23.01.2022 CRAFTY LADIES The North Lakes Community Womens Group invited us to attend their meeting last week to talk about what The Flower Project is all about. It was their craft day and a group of about 70 women were happily learning new skills and enjoying each others company. To our surprise and delight, they presented us with a donation of $200 towards our Bouquet of Kindness program. Many thanks ladies, keep on crafting!

For someone who loved gardening, flowers, their community or was simply a kind and loving person, a donation to The Flower Project Foundation in their memory is a very special way of ensuring A Legacy of Kindness. It means that many more recipients in need of sunshine caring in their lives will receive a Bouquet of Kindness in your loved ones honour. 15.01.2022 What a beautiful morning tea we had on Friday - I wasnt going to cry until I saw the beautiful cake and so many loving and amazing people there who had made the project what it was and allowed us to bring sunshine to so many lives. Word is that quite a few flower fairies will continue to drop off a bouquet of kindness here and there so our legacy of kindness will live on :) Thank you everyone for your beautiful words and surprises and to Mel from Mels Magical Cupcakes who c...reated what I think is the most beautiful cake ever (and tasted wonderful!) organised by Trish (thanks Trish!). We have had some amazing deliveries these past few weeks so we certainly benefited as many recipients this month as we could. All our items have found wonderful new homes with very well deserving small local charities. A few more photos to come but here are some taken by Lauren. Dont forget our floral sundries sale today till 4pm. Any items not sold will be going to the special school so that the kids can enjoy lots of creativity :)

14.01.2022 END OF PROJECT What began 3 years ago as one person bringing appreciation and sunshine to people who were facing life challenges has grown to become a volunteer run charity that has helped acknowledge and appreciate more than 2700 recipients with a Bouquet of Kindness". When appreciation of our struggles comes from outside our inner circle and from someone who expects absolutely nothing in return, it can be something powerful enough that we will always remember it. In our c...ase, long after our Bouquet of Kindness has faded. Weve experienced many amazing moments during this project but it hasnt been without sacrifice and lots of challenges along the way. The biggest challenge has been trying to secure funding to continue in a very tough charity environment. What we have never been short of are kind hearted and special volunteers who have made it all possible. How wonderful it has been to work with this team and what a privilege it has been to bring sunshine and caring to so many local lives. Sadly the Flower Project will come to an end on Friday 8 August 2014. In the meantime we intend to keep delivering our Bouquets of Kindness to some very deserving people. Nominations will still be accepted up to 31 July 2014. Thank you to all our facebook friends who have supported and encouraged us. We hope that we have inspired you to remember what a huge impact a small gesture of kindness can make to someone elses day! We have a lot to celebrate 3 Years and 2700 Bouquets of Kindness have been delivered. ITS BEEN A FANTASTIC PROJECT! Imagine how delighted we were to receive this feedback from one of the recipients: "To the lovely people who work @ the flower project. Im currently staying at a womens shelter due to domestic violence and came home today to find a beautiful arrangement of flowers at my bedroom door. I am writing to thank you for the flowers and to thank you for caring. Feeling lost and alone at present, this gift meant a lot to me. God bless you all. "
