14.01.2022 Today is all about kitchens' number 1 public enemy: containers! Lost lids and falling towers are oh so common daily fights. Ideally, you may dream to be a minimalist owning 3 all up, but realistically you may be meal-prepping for a family of 4. A few simple rules to tackle containers: 1) keep the lids either in, or besides their containers, so you can easily grab both without scrambling through a pile of all sizes 2) as always when organising, keep related ones together (eg y...ou probably don't need the cake carrier in your daily snacks drawer) 3) contain! Here we have a drawer insert, undershelf drawer and rolling container: divide to conquer! 4) avoid round containers which take more space and do not stack as well How do you store yours? 13.01.2022 Hands up if you battle with your under sink cupboards This is something I get asked advice about all the time! That one turned out quite functional despite being highly impractical due to the sinks and heaps of pipes. I forgot to take a before picture, realised halfway through Even if you bulk buy, there are always ways to make things nicely accessible and make it work for what you need!

10.01.2022 A bit of a different angle of kitchen organisation today, which is about sustainability. I cooked our last pumpkin from last year. Pumpkins started sprouting from our compost and before we knew it I was gifting seedlings to the neighbour as we could not keep up! From a pumpkin we bought, many came from just throwing seeds in a compost bin, rather than waste. I am very grateful for this full cycle now enjoying homemade soup which hopefully will fix up that pesky chest infection! Oh and those pumpkin & feta muffins are delicious warm and the perfect way to snack on veggies What's your go-to hidden veggies dish?
