25.01.2022 Just a few things going on today here @ The Flying Volkswagen. Dc inverter for secondary battery installed. Bay window bus new narrowed beam installation under way.... Paint in a can turns into paint on a wheel !!!!

24.01.2022 Brand new build just About finished up here @ The Flying Volkswagen. 2276 cc build, forged counterweight crank and H beam rods by CB Performance, FK 89 Camshaft and Pro Series straight cut gear set. Panchito cylinder heads along with AA P & B. Twin 48 IDF'S along with a Vintage Speed superflow exhaust this baby should tear it up !!!!

24.01.2022 I've been a little quite on the FB side of things lately, lots happening both at work and outside work. Here's a little fast of what's happening in the shop at the present, lots of great work being done on the VWs in the shop. New bus in at the moment to rectify all the poor previous work and lack of work once we had a good look over Norm the splitty.... Paint works a mess and mechanical not any better, excessive endfloat on new engine, no oil in the gear box or reduction hubs, no swing axle boots, re built flipped kingpins have excessive play and not road worthy. Electrical work all substandard unfortunately but we can sort all this out as required. See more

22.01.2022 Freshly painted wide 5 front runners and fat rears by the Tin Gods. Laguna Seca BMW blue. Split window left front king and link pins reamed and assembled better than new. We have all the tooling here to press your old king pins apart as well as the ability to do flip spindles to lower you pride and joy.

20.01.2022 Plent happening here @ The Flying Volkswagen in Rutherford NSW Australia !!!! Martini Olive bay bus finally painted after some epic rust repairs carried out here in house. Another bay bus after blasting, rust works under way, this is a full bus rebuild resto back to better than new.... Another blasted beetle back from the blasters as well. Repairs will all be done in shop, plenty to jeep us busy !!!

20.01.2022 Another massive few days here @ The Flying Volkswagen, Rutherford NSW Australia. Several engine builds under way and almost finished. 2.4 litre type 4 build, CB camshaft and new counterweighted crankshaft, will be running CSP heater headers and a set of 44 IDF's.... 1600 engine repair, blown a hole in #3 barrell and damaged head as well. Beam building, adjuster install about to get under way as well. We can also fabricate up new A pillar repair skin's for your Bay window bus, It's What We do !!!!

12.01.2022 Manx buggy in for a front suspension rebuild, total overhaul and adjustable beam install. New king pins and link pins installed. Electrical repairs and some engine tuning to go as well. Split bus finished and ready to go !!! Front suspension rebuilt along with automatic control rear air ride assist fitted up. Engine service, tune, Kadrons set up and linkages fixed.

08.01.2022 As usual there's plenty to keep us busy @ The Flying Volkswagen. Several epic restos underway on a few bay window busses. Lots to be done and lots of great work happening with the crew !!!!

08.01.2022 Funday Friday. Bay window bus continued major surgery on the old girl, lost of rust but we're on the home straight doing the panel replacement as req. Single Cab Ute also in for rust repairs and the full mechanical overhaul, will be kept ratty but full interior re paint better than new engine and Priceline upgrades. Narrowed adjustable beam and rear FK spring plates. ... OZ Trike also in as had some serious engine issues, Scat engine which wasn't a Scat engine. New crankshaft and rods on the adjenda, Engle W110 cam and upping the compression !!!!

07.01.2022 Welcome to The Flying Volkswagen!!!! Banes new heart is taking shape. 2276 10.5 : 1 comp with 48 IDF'S. Forged crank and Chromolly H beam rods. Case is torqued up and head studs ready to be sealed , pistons rings tapped and assembled. Ratio rockers ready to install after checking valve/ rocker geometry. ... Pretty blue paint has arrived sober can colour up a set of wheels for a 66 vw. Bus king pins pressed apart with out new purpose built jig. Old bished pressed out and new bushes installed ready for reaming. New top and lower carriers are on the way, tomorrow morning assembly begins.

07.01.2022 Plenty to keep us amused here @ The Flying Volkswagen Rutherford NSW Australia. 1835 draw through turbo setup well under way. Static 7.0 : 1 compression should be good for 12 to 14 pound of boost. CB Performance Mag Plus heads, match ported CB turbo intakes, forged counterweight crank and 5.4 H beam rods. Turbo grind CB camshaft and ultralight lifter with 1 : 4 : 1 ratio rockers. ... Bane is on the Hoist as the gearbox has finally returned from the boys down Australian VW Performance Centre . 2276 engine build and awaiting install. !!! Bay window single cab in for some loving. Rust repairs and suspension build.
