22.01.2022 State Government Regional Cabinet Meeting The Food Factory team was called on by the Department of Premier and Cabinet to provide catering for the recent Regional Cabinet Meeting at James Cook University Cairns Campus. It was all hands, and paws, on deck for an early start with Archie the police sniffer dog, a valued member of the State Protection Squad, both carrying out his normal duties while ensuring catering 'quality control' was maintained :-)... Our sincere thanks to Julia and her James Cook University Estate Office colleagues for their friendly and professional assistance.

10.01.2022 ANZAC DAY 2020 "We will remember them"

07.01.2022 Pop Up Bar stocked and ready for guests attending this evening's Vice Chancellors End of Year event at the Cairns Institute building @ James Cook Uiversity.

05.01.2022 While the Covid19 Virus has meant that, like so many others, we have had to change and adapt where necessary it has not only been our business which has has to take affirmative action. James Cook University, for the first time, had to cancel the graduation ceremony for their students. Out events manager and functions floor supervisor Connor McHugh was one of the graduating students to miss out on the celebration and recognition of his success.... Connor had completed his Bachelor of Science degree and his family made the decision to adapt and take affirmative action. Much to Connors surprise said family arranged to have the ceremony at our take home outlet in the city! While we did not have a Vice Chancellor and the cap and gown may not have been up to code all went well. With the chef substituting for the Vice Chancellor and the traditional grad ceremony music being played on a mobile phone it was, if not a first, best described as different! Congratulations Connor well deserved. It is hoped that a our valued customers, suppliers and Food Factory team are coping through these difficult times. Ps: Reckon we may have the only events manager with a Bachelor of Science Degree who has majoured in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology :-) Stay safe The Food Factory team.

04.01.2022 Theaming well underway for the Vice Chancellors End of Year Briefing and 2020 Program Update.
