17.01.2022 And that's it from us for 2020! We certainly aren't the only ones to have mixed feelings about the odd year that this has been. NYE 2020 started with a thick plume of smoke from the quickly spreading Charmhaven fire; I remember Tim coming home from battling it saying that it was the closest he had ever come to the realisation he may not be able to breathe as a result of the smoke. A couple of months passed and as I was returning from touring a show (yep, this farmer doubles ...up as an opera singer) we were suddenly in the thrall of a Covid induced lockdown. Rest assured, all of our animals still enjoyed the ability to truly free range! There was certainly no preparing for what was to come though - the panic buying saw demand to buy food from our tiny business suddenly grow overnight to a capacity way beyond what we had ever dreamed. Tim and I suddenly had to become delivery drivers and there were many nights we were delivering all day until 5am the next morning (FYI there is a ridiculous amount of people who have terribly placed or tiny street numbers. PLEEEASE for the sake of all future delivery drivers make sure you aren't one of these people ;) ) We are thankfully ending the year with lush green pastures, a positive perspective and excitement for what is to come. We are in the process of refining things and getting ready to launch a bunch of things for early next year that will see our humble food reaching so many more of you! So watch this space... Thank you to those that trusted us to feed you during the lock down. Thank you to our legendary cafes and outlets who keep supporting us and waving the local food flag. Thank you to the other farmers, friends, colleagues and family that have been a sounding board while we navigate things and, a huge THANK YOU to our regular customers who continue to buy from us week in, week out from the Gosford Farmer's Market or via home deliveries - you are truly shifting the needle toward a better future and seeing you regularly is what keeps us on this regenerative food journey. Here's to '21
