The NUBC Women's Quad were winners in the Bowman Cup against Endeavour Rowing Club This event was created to increase membership engagement across the University and Endeavour rowing clubs and has proved successful for NUBC attracting new, younger members into the club environment. 15.01.2022 We’re excited to be hosting the Argentinian Rugby Team for training sessions while in Newcastle over the coming weekend as part of the Tri Nations Rugby tournament. To ensure that we uphold the COVID Safety Plan of the Tri Nations Rugby and NUsport, all team training sessions require exclusive access to the gym area. To accommodate the Argentinian Rugby Team sessions The Forum Harbourside gym will be closed to members: Friday 27 November 4:00pm 5:00pm Saturday 28 No...vember 9.30am 10.30am Sunday 29 November 9.30am 10.30am GROUP FITNESS classes running as per normal. Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff and members. We are so excited to be able to share our classes with even more of you now this restriction has been eased by @newsouthwaleshealth. 08.01.2022 ON THIS DAY in 2016, we celebrated 3 University of Newcastle students as they claimed Gold, Gold and Silver for the Australian Uniroos at the World University Sailing Championships in Perth! In a truly memorable event for our students, Sarah Parker (B Physiotherapy (Honours)) skippered the Australian Women’s team to Gold, overcoming the talented Swiss Universities team in the final. Sarah was also bestowed the honour of flag-bearer for the Australian team. In the Open C...ompetition, it was Murray Jones (B Commerce) who claimed Gold, with Ben Robinson (B Commerce) taking Silver in an all-Australian final. A standout event, for which our students were inducted into the Australian University Sport Honour Roll as medallists at a World University Championship!
