17.01.2022 Most logical and fact supported breakdown of it all I’ve read so far. Big ups @drtyna SCROLL . These are some unpopular truths that you aren’t hearing on the news.... . Don’t shoot the messenger, as I didn’t make these rules up. This is how viruses work. . We scientists knew all of this from the beginning, yet I’m quite unsure as to WHY more aren’t talking about it. . We know much about the family of virus this one belongs to, yet we seem to not want to believe we know. It’s like discovering a new breed of canine and instead of looking at its behavior as that of a canine, we treat it like some new type of fierce lion. . The fear narrative is breaking down, but only if you stop buying into it. And stop treating it as a virtue. . And please don’t come at me w the apples to oranges arguments. Yes, their are longhaulers, just as there are with the flu and many other common viruses. Yes, there are outliers, just like there are with every illness on the planet. . When you hear hooves, think of horses, not zebras. Yet the media is sensationalizing the zebras to keep you in a perpetual state of fear. . Learn to dig deeper. Skip the first page or 3 of google and seek beyond. Turn OFF your television. Learn from doctors who don’t have an agenda. Stop making it all so damn political. The virus doesn’t care who you vote for. . Get your health house in order so you aren’t such a welcome host for it when it comes knocking. . I say none of this to discount the lives lost of the many super old people and the very few younger people. I don’t want to lose my elderly parents, but I don’t get to choose that. Nature always finds its way around the stop checks humans attempt to impose. . Health can’t be injected, it’s earned and rent is due every day. What are you doing today to earn or deplete yours? . #fearisaweapon See more

09.01.2022 We were fortunate enough to get our hands on the only biodynamic certified pomegranate in Aus recently courtesy of the amazing @wholefoodsstore.milton and boy am I stoked! The #research pertaining to the #health benefits #pomegranate offers specifically within the gut microbiome is very impressive... The peel, seeds and husk all offer medicinal value and can be often seen in anti-parasitic herbal formulas. The #polyohenols unique to pomegranate have been shown to enhance the recovery of commensal (friendly) gut flora from #antibiotic damage and improve microbial #diversity in the gut microbiome plus a host of other gut, inflammatory and longevity related benefits. We are saving the peels, dehydrating them, powering them down into capsules for long term use and happy guts. Yeww!! @ Narrawallee

08.01.2022 Hello good people. Part 2 of the SuperFeast podcast is here where Mason Taylor and I continue to break open the nuances of strong/poor digestion, the pre & probiotic arena, leaky gut, inflammation and of course the ancient wisdom of taoist Chinese herbalism & philosophy weaved well throughout it all. Enjoy and let us know your feedback #Repost SuperFeast Gut Health Podcast Part 2 is here! If you haven't already listened to last week's Part 1 episode, we sugges...t you drop in now and have a listen. The guys pick up where they left off, diving deep into the energetics of the digestive system and referencing the ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy. Probiotics and prebiotics are discussed in great detail and the role they play with chronic disease manifestations, like leaky gut. Dan (@the.functional.naturopath) brings his clinical observations to the table with real-life client experiences and Mase continues to share his insights on how tonic herbalism is used in healing gut issues. 07.01.2022 Oysters have long been considered a superfood, and for good reason. They are loaded with bio available zinc, iodine, selenium , copper, omega 3 fatty acids and many other trace nutrients we lack in the modern diet but were plentiful in the diets of our paleolithic ancestors & many native societies. Oysters are ideal for those with lowered thyroid function and immune senescence, but perhaps their most reputable association is in optimising testosterone function in men and... therefore libido. This is mainly due to the impressive zinc quantity naturally occurring which is said to provide 630% of the recommended daily intake in a 100g serve. Pretty awesome! As a clinician, I encounter low testosterone function in men of all ages and always encourage them to seek out and consume fresh local oysters on top of many other T-boosting foods, herbs, exercises and lifestyle changes. Caveat - anything out of our oceans these days are subject to Mercury accumulation and it pays to regularly test your tissue levels of heavy metals like this and perform regular detoxification protocols with your practitioner. @ Narrawallee See more

07.01.2022 A holistic health plan is not complete without the inclusion of some form of movement practice in my opinion. Sometimes this is the missing piece to the puzzle and very indicated where there is lymphatic congestion, muscle breakdown, poor mood, poor immunity and paradoxically chronic fatigue. It is well known that hormone levels decline by a small percentage each year after the age of 30, especially in men. I consider hormone health extremely critical as part of a longevity /... anti-ageing plan and support the practice of anything that builds bone density, maintains hormones, supports a healthy anabolic:catabolic ratio - all of which daily weight bearing exercise offers. As a parent, I try to make this a priority where possible and always encourage patients to get the kiddies involved because... monkey see, monkey do! . . . . . @ The Functional Naturopath

04.01.2022 Current vibe? Make it work in your favour. Slow down, turn off the news - because harbouring fear won’t slow covid’s transmission rate. Instead reflect inward, simplify your environment, connect with the fam, take your herbs and Get your bits and pieces in the sun .... Stress + fear = immune depletion. Period! . . . . . . .

02.01.2022 It’s been a pleasure supporting you all this year and what a wild one it’s been. The last spots for new patient consultations during November and December are now full. New patients are still welcome and able to book for January 2021 through my website. For my current patients not currently booked but wanting to connect, I recommend emailing [email protected] and we will do our best to allocate a session time in the event of cancellations. Of course, requests ...for script refills and herb top ups are still able to be filled. Huge wave of gratitude to you all and look forward to continuing our journey Stay classy people

02.01.2022 University has finished, but the learning does not. As part of my keen interest into the advances in the gut microbiome, I flew down to Tasmania this weekend to follow up last weekends gut/brain seminar to attend a limited seat workshop hosted once again by the almighty Dr Jason Hawrelak. Today we delved deep into the interpretation of the popular uBiome gut test kits and how as clinicians we can propogate & fertilize damaged gut terrain (following antibiotic, infections, m...edication etc) to restore near-extinct species that are so crucial to all facets of health & longevity. Real life case studies demonstrate astounding results in sufferers of inflammatory conditions, gut disorders, mental health, diabetes and even Alzheimers - all through modifying & correcting the gut microbiome. As of 2018 I will be providing comprehensive uBiome test interpretations along with customised treatment protocols. Stay tuned! @ Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (RTBG) See more

02.01.2022 Stoked to see Dr Jason Mallia in the running for the 2020 ATMS board election. I worked with Jason some 6 or 7 years ago just upon starting my Nat degree and was inspired by the wealth of knowledge, experience and passion he had for the work we do and our industry as a whole. All the best & good luck with it Jason James Mallia
