25.01.2022 CHILDS pose... find space in your spine, relaxation to the muscles and breath. To finish off our week of #wfh stretches and strength exercises I wanted to finish on the #childspose position. Such a great way to find space in your spine and opening up through the upper back muscles after the week of sitting at your desk.... Try this stretch tonight and practice on your breath as you enter the week ahead. Explore this position and what your body is telling you. #stretch #workingfromhome #office #desk #posture #physio #physiotherapy #physioathome #exercise #health #breathe #mindfulness #relax #focus #tips #strong #wellness

25.01.2022 Sundays are for running... The best thing about a Sunday morning is that run day feels. Before I head out the door I’ll choose a couple of my fave exercises to warm up my muscles and activate my brain. Running is a skill and coordination is required. Technique needs to be considered and thought about when running. These are the exercises I picked for today. Double leg bridge and single leg bridge. Followed by a couple of stretches and I was primed for my run. #run #melbournerunners #running #runningphysio #runningmotivation #tips #runner #strength #priming #activation #physiotherapy @melbourne.runners #instagood #exercise #fitness

25.01.2022 This photo was taken on a special day, over looking Lake Taupo, New Zealand, my home. My sisters and I got up to watch this beautiful sunrise in a place that is so dear to our hearts. As lockdown continues in Victoria (where I am) and all over Australia and the world, there are many people just like me and you who cant get home to their loved ones and will spend months and maybe over a year waiting. Be kind to each other ,be patient, be human. #lockdown #lockdown2020 #isolation #kind #human #sunrise #newzealand #missinghome #mindfulness #health #wellbeing

25.01.2022 Lockdown stage 4 in Victoria has forced us all to rethink what we can do for exercise. So with a bit of Kiwi ingenuity and my iPad (you can see on my car) I did a @lesmillsondemand #lesmillsbodyattack workout in my car park. This was a 55minute workout. It was safe and I didnt even leave my house or see anyone. Exercise makes me feel energised and refreshed to kick start my day. It is important we look after our physical and mental heath at this crucial time!
