20.01.2022 Today is International Day of Charity and we want to acknowledge the wonderful charities we work with on a daily basis. It has been a challenging year, but we have also seen so much innovation and dedication from the sector. 20.01.2022 It has been just over a year since we supported Peach Tree Perinatal Wellness at TFN Live Brisbane. Peach Tree supports parents to increase their parenting confidence and capability by providing mental health support, parenting education and social inclusion activities for individuals and couples during the pregnancy and early parenthood period. Funds raised at TFN Live have contributed to Peach Tree's work with postnatal mothers, supporting 125 new postnatal mothers across Brisbane to access support and education.

18.01.2022 Last month, we gathered in our living rooms across the country for The Funding Network’s 100th event, delivered virtually and in partnership with our founding partner AMP Australia. It was such a thrill to experience the event this way and we’re still in awe that together we raised over $275,000, including a donation to TFN with huge thanks to the AMP Foundation for $100,000 in matched funding. He is pitching to hire an Indigenous education officer. 3. Our final speaker, Helen Black, Managing Director at workRestart will be pitching for Project reStitch. This program will enable prisoners to learn in-demand skills to help get them a job on release, building confidence through teamwork, contribution, responsibility and leadership.

Pitching at TFN Live Melbourne last year, they had a goal to raise funds for hardware kits to run coding ...camps for girls to change their perception of what coding is...and have a lot of fun doing it! Thanks to the funds raised they were able to source enough equipment to run over 20 coding camps across Victoria, NSW and the ACT, providing over 450 hours of code instruction to 346 girls. 82% of the campers reported feeling more confident in technology and coding and 60% indicated they would now like to pursue a career in coding.

11.01.2022 Last year, Bus Stop Films pitched at TFN Live for funding to take their Accessible Films Studies Program to Canberra-based students with a disability. We are excited to update that filming has now wrapped on the first project for the Canberra program! A huge congratulations to the students, cast, crew, staff and supporters who worked tirelessly to produce the very first inclusively made musical, The Enchanted Ball. The project has also provided local employment in Canberra at a significant time for the screen industry, from classroom staff to the team engaged on the shoot, both cast and crew. We can't wait to the see the final product!!

01.01.2022 This week is National Missing Persons Week, which aims to raise awareness of the issues associated with missing persons. At TFN Sydney last year, we supported Missing Persons Advocacy Network (MAPN) and CEO and founder Loren O'Keeffe spoke about the anxiety and crisis of somebody going missing. She pitched to raise funds to pilot a free, trauma-informed counselling program to those who are still without their missing loved ones. To date, MPAN has been able to train 33 health... professionals in Australia and has shared information with other global bodies as well. It is just over a year ago that we supported Library For All at TFN Brisbane. Rebecca McDonald, Founder and CEO, pitched to raise funds to translate and produce children’s books in two Indigenous languages, creating stories that will connect and resonate with Indigenous children in remote Australia and foster a love of reading. Since her pitch, they have partnered with three Indigenous book publishers and are looking at translating and digitising their works to add to their digital library. They have also increased their reach from 130,000 children to 250,000 children globally.
