Don't forget to get the race nominations for the kids in by 6pm tonight on Swim Central. https://swimcentral.swimming.org.au/ We'll be holding a special event - the Rob Chandler memorial - a handicap 25m freestyle event, for kids who haven't qualified for 50m. Medals will be presented to the boy and girl who achieve the fastest adjusted handicap time. Oh, and did I mention it's pizza night? PIZZA.....! Just $10 each! See you then.

22.01.2022 What a great first club night of 2021 at Gators last night! Well done to all our swimmers, and a warm welcome to three new families. Thanks to our junior club captains Georgia, Evie and Alex, who encouraged our youngest individual medley swimmers and helped with their stroke order. They are admired by our young swimmers as great role models.

18.01.2022 Lots of amazing winners on our last club night of 2020 at Gators. The Speechley Shield handicap 100m medley winners (who beat their personal best by the most seconds) are L-R Mackenzie 1st - 15.34 sec faster than her PB, joint 3rd - Madeline and Charlotte both 11.7 sec and Luke 2nd - 14.86 sec. Well done kids! Isaac beat his PB by 8.92 to take gold in the 200IM. Congratulations on your swims and medals. Big well done to the winning parents in the 100m IM parents v kids race. Despite the kids protest at the false start (ie parents self-determined handicap because Clare had to swim backstroke against Isaac, as if she'd have a chance!) a parent team (pictured) emerged victorious! Well done, and thank you to all our families and swimmers for a great first half of the season! See you all on January 29! Merry Christmas!!!

The more the merrier, so please consider nominating your child through swim central. Entries close Australia Day! Please note for new swimmers/ swim parents.... due to COVID restrictions, unfortunately spectators will be limited.

09.01.2022 An important message from The Gap Gators. Hi Gators families, today we held our annual AGM and trophy day and it was lovely to see our swimming families. Unfortunately the only committee position that was filled was Treasurer, with Sheree Morgan returning for the 20/21 season. However this does not meet the requirements for an incorporated club, nor is it possible to run the club. We have held nominations open until 30th September. If no nominations are received the club will be dissolved and sadly, after 51 years of operation, The Gap Gators will close. Please consider whether you are able to take a position.
