25.01.2022 Good morning. What a great day to enjoy the garden.

24.01.2022 Happy New Year. Plants + good food = happiness & health Cafe and nursery are now open again

24.01.2022 SUMMER BULB TIME! Spring bulbs have come and gone. Right now, however, is the time to plant summer bulbs such as lilies and Dahlias. Check out our website for 'click and collect' orders. You could be planting this afternoon..... https://gardenfeast.com.au/plants/bulbs/

24.01.2022 They're back! So are we. We are now open for browsing, plants and coffee. Hydrangea blue now in stock (along with all the other colours) https://gardenfeast.com.au/produ/hydrangea-blue-ball-200mm/

24.01.2022 If you love to try the latest thing, this IS the latest thing in Petunia's. A double flowering black and gold spreading Petunia called Midnight Sun. It has nothing to do with the latest Twilight book. Our plants are not as big as pictured, but with a lot of sun and a bit of heat you will be looking at this same plant in 8 weeks. We are still open for click and collect or phone orders. Follow this link to grab a Midnight Sun for yourself. https://gardenfeast.com.au/pro/petunia-midnight-gold-150mm/

21.01.2022 One of the great things about home delivery is getting to see our customers beautiful gardens. One such garden belongs to the Thompsons. A low maintenance colourful succulent cross with natives. I just love all the silvers and blues and waxy leaves. I think what makes this garden special is the way that they have planted multiple plants in clusters.

18.01.2022 It took us a little while to realise there was something majorly wrong with this label. Ok gardeners can you tell us what’s wrong?

18.01.2022 When our Hydrangea's arrive we know Christmas is not too far away. Big and full of buds, which will colour up in November, are ready to be planted in pots or a shady spot in the garden. We have pink, blue white, purple and red in ball types or lace caps. Available through click and collect or phone orders right now. 97413100 https://gardenfeast.com.au/plants/shade-loving/

17.01.2022 Wow, what a fantastic weather weekend we just had. It is a shame you can't see first hand all the beautiful flowers blooming in the garden centre while eating cake and drinking coffee. Sorry to torment. The lockdown will eventually finish. In the meantime one of the most beautiful coloured flowers (Flower of the Year 2019 Chelsea Flower Show) at present is the African Daisy Purple Sun. We have them available for click and collect, so you won't miss out. https://gardenfeast.com.au/p/osteospermum-purple-sun-150mm/

17.01.2022 I am not sure what our panna cotta and passion fruit house muesli breakfast dish has to do with these cool nudie naturalists we have in store, but check out the new things we have in our cafe and nursery. Our cafe is open again tomorrow from 9am

16.01.2022 OPEN GRAND FINAL HOLIDAY 10am to 3.30pm for click and collect or phone orders It’s the Cats turn today! Turn your garden blue and white with these beauties! Click and collect is the easy way to go. Check out our online store https://gardenfeast.com.au/

16.01.2022 Last day of winter. It certainly feels like Spring is here. Let’s see pictures of your Spring gardens in the comments. www.gardenfeast.com.au

15.01.2022 What’s eating my plant? Rain + fresh leaves = bugs How can you tell what is eating your plant? Every insect, mammal & mollusc has a different shaped mouth. Bringing a leaf into the nursery helps our horticulturalist determine what type of bug or animal is dining on your precious plants. Right now the biggest culprits are snails and earwigs. Snails take big chunks and mostly (but not always obvious) leave slim behind too. Earwigs have a little mouth and can only eat the soft parts of the leaves leaving the plant looking like a doily. Look around the area for hiding spots where they retreat to during the day. You’ll soon find them waiting out until night time to start their feeding frenzy again.

14.01.2022 Such naughty birds playing in the growing area this morning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPl5TFJKAUw

14.01.2022 SUPER SPECIAL ON RANUNCULUS The trouble with Stage 4 lockdowns is no one can see how beautiful our flowers are looking. One such flower is about to peak in splendiferous array. We have many many plants and we have decided to almost give them away. Click and collect is available for these gorgeous plants for only $2 each. https://gardenfeast.com.au/product/ranunculus-125mm/

09.01.2022 Our cafe is open again and chef has something special for the sweet tooth. Our own banana ice cream on freshly made waffles.

08.01.2022 Our new Summer menu is starting this Saturday, the 2nd of January. Check out our Smashed Avo with medley tomato salad, basil, native seed mix and snow pea shoots. So fresh for Summer

07.01.2022 Mozzie season is here. Annoying little biters. Citronella scented Geraniums deter them after a brush of your hand to release the oils in the leaves. Other mozzie deterrents are lads love, tansy and catnip. Plant them close to your doors or patio areas.

07.01.2022 Mellanie has been taking advantage of the weather and our ‘click and collect’ service, filling up her garden with beautiful flowers. Well done Mell. Thanks for sharing. We are updating our website everyday with new plants and flowers. Check it out www.gardenfeast.com.au

06.01.2022 Springtime is Bee swarming time. It's a natural process for beehives to produce new queens and for them to head off on their own. If a swarm turns up in your garden, don't call the pest controller. Jump on the computer and log your swarm on http://www.swarmpatrol.com/ A local beekeeper will come and take it away for no charge and give them a good home.

05.01.2022 Ahhh no they don’t! Those Harlequin bugs are at it again. In another month there will be thousands of them invading the vegie garden and fruit trees. If you can keep the population down now, it will save a lot of tomatoes later on. The simplest solution (pardon the later pun) is to make a solution of liquid detergent and water. Spray them with that and unfortunately for them, they can’t breath and keel over pretty quickly.

05.01.2022 Fresh Vegie and Flower seedlings have arrived. See you there!

04.01.2022 A little video with Jason and Maree showing you how we water our indoor plants in our cafe. So lazy

02.01.2022 We are allowed to open our doors again. Yeah! Our nursery will be open tomorrow from 9am for browsing and shopping, however our cafe needs a little more time to prepare, therefore Friday is our first day open. We are taking bookings online through our website, Facebook or Opentable https://www.opentable.com.au/s

02.01.2022 So exciting. A flock of black cockies flew into the nursery this afternoon. Have you seen them in your backyard?

01.01.2022 Pig Face is such a terrible name for something so beautiful. This particular Pig Face is called Candy Pink. It's super power is being able to change colour from yellow to pink. It is so prolific when in flower you can't even see that it has foliage, like a big ball of fairy floss. It is getting ready to flower this Spring, so if you plant now you can enjoy the show. Full sun is a must. Pick one or more up from our nursery by 'click and collect' through our web site https://gardenfeast.com.au//mesembryanthemum-candy-pink-1/
