25.01.2022 Layers upon layers. Just how we like it. Viola hederacea, Senecio mandraliscae, Strobilanthes gossypinus and a touch of Helichrysum petiolare in a semi-shaded spot in our Oatley garden.

19.01.2022 This sunny Saturday afternoon has me in the mood for potting. Pottering and pink....pure perfection! These cacti are so easy to propagate. I got mine from a lovely little lady down the road who caught me eyeing off her giant pachycereus tree. I struck up a conversation, one thing led to another and now we’ll be friends connected by our love for the garden. To propagate simply take a sharp knife and make a clean cut across the stem. Lay the cutting down in a dark dry sp...ot for a few weeks until the cut has dried and calloused. Once it's ready pop it in a pot with some stones or aggregate in the bottom for drainage and fill with some well draining cactus mix. To avoid it rotting out don't water it until roots appear. They love the sun and don’t need much water. So find yourself a tree, ask for a cutting and you might just find yourself with a new friend and a new cactus Enjoy!

19.01.2022 Selecting furniture for your garden should be done with just as much consideration as you do with your interior furniture. How does the piece fit in with other materials and colours present in your garden? Does it suit the garden style? But most of all does it bring you joy? This beautiful outdoor chair is made right here in Australia by one of our favourites @jardanfurniture

13.01.2022 Early morning site visits in the freezing cold are so worth it when your new project has this view from their backyard. I’m fortunate to get down to the south coast of NSW on a regular basis but it still takes my breath away every-time. Can’t wait to share more of this project with you soon.

10.01.2022 Specifying materials for my projects is one of my favourite parts of the job and it’s so important to do this early on as it all forms a part of the bigger picture thinking. As a part of our concept package we present a materials mood board that clearly demonstrates to the client the direction we would like to go and how these materials play a role in pulling together the overall story of the space. Textures play such a huge part in how we experience an exterior space, whether it be the crunch of a pebble or the warmth of a darker stone, it’s all of these little moments that add up to create a well thought out space that you feel truly connected with. We touch on it all during the concept phase to make sure that every inch of the design is playing its part in creating your dream garden
