25.01.2022 The Australian War Memorial is holding an online launch of the Ink in the Lines exhibition. Behind every tattoo is a story of remembrance, mateship, identity and healing. Ink in the Lines is new a photographic exhibition focussing on the stories of Australia’s military veterans, as told through their tattoos, which commemorate the people and events that shaped their lives. 24.01.2022 WE NEED YOU - In preparation for the Veteran 400 fundraiser, The Garrison will be constructing a new game zone at Donnybrook Gel Ballers and assisting with infrastructure repairs. Matt will be on-site and would appreciate some help from Tuesday 6th to Saturday 10th October, so if you could spare some time on any of these days please contact Matt via messenger. To give you an idea of what we’re doing, we will be constructing a series of small timber bunkers (partially dug in), a helicopter crash site and general maintenance. R&R Hire has donated the use of an excavator and other earthmoving equipment to make things easier on our veteran bodies. If you can bring hand and power tools with you on the day this will also be a great help. Cheers Tols

24.01.2022 Wednesday night hangs at The Garrison :) our 2021 Calendar of events is being put together so have your say and let us know what you would like to see.

23.01.2022 With tomorrow's social gathering at the Pine Rivers sub branch falling on Remembrance Day, we would like to encourage veterans to head down with their family and friends for a bbq dinner from 6:30pm at 1349 Anzac Avenue Kallangur. Meat is being supplied by Dayboro Village Meats thanks to DVA VHW funding. We will also have the State of Origin game on the big screen.

21.01.2022 What a beautiful Sunday we had, with 17 attendees blissed out on our yoga mats, learning about nutrition and mental health as well as enjoying social connections over healthy food, conversation and goodie bags. Thanks again to Sharn from Kaia Flow and Amy from @YourDieticianHQ for organising as well as donating their time and DVA VHW for funding the event.

20.01.2022 What is your plan for this October long weekend? Some of our members will be camping at Diggers Rest, some will be taking to the Gel Ball field again (One of those last-minute why don't we do this on the weekend decisions) and others will be taking advantage by doing odd jobs around the house!

18.01.2022 DVA VHW funding has provided The Garrison with the opportunity to help our community thrive. In the last week alone we had more than 200 people attend our events, including the Wednesday night social gathering, Friday coffee at the lake, gold class movies,warrior wellness retreat and 70 ppl just at our Bribie Island BBQ and watercraft day! Nothing makes us happier than seeing veterans and their families and friends having a good time :)

Fully catered morning tea and lunch with gentle intro to pilates and yoga for relaxation and digestion all delivered by Kaia Flow and Your Dietitian who can tailor to your needs.
