This critical chang...e will make generations of difference. Right now across Australia, children as young as 10 years of age are arrested by police, hauled before a court and locked in prison. Some for merely stealing bread or a chocolate frog. Around the world, The median age of criminal responsibility is 14. In Australia its 10. Embarrassing behind the rest of the world. So much so the UN has continually called on Australia to raise the age. Children need care, love and support so they can reach their full potential - not being thrown behind bars. People like myself, are considered lucky ones. But luck shouldnt decide whether or not a child has a future. Luck doesnt change the world. We do. Which is why I ask you to ask the Australian Governments to change the law to stop children under 14 years old being treated as criminals, including being arrested, charged or sent to prison. 13.01.2022 Like most businesses across Australia we are trying to keep up with the rapidly evolving changes to policy here in Australia in relation to hospitality and the COVID-10. On Friday 20th of March the Australian Federal Government announced that additional to all non-essential indoor gatherings of more than 100 people being banned there now needs to be 4 square metres of space available to each person in the venue. View the Prime Ministers official statement here: pm.gov.au/med...ia/update-coronavirus-measures-0 The Gaso are doing everything we can in these times to keep up with policies as well keeping our staff employed and our venue afloat: Doing everything in our power to continue to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all those in venue and throughout our community. This includes complying with all DHHS advice and government regulations and recommending social distancing of 1.5 meters while making sure there is 4 square metres of space available per person. Rescheduling dates for booked shows. All ticket holders will be contacted directly via Moshtix with details regarding postponed events as well as the information theyll need regarding cancellations. We will remain open and be encouraging patrons to utilise our multiple areas including the band room with retractable roof open (weather permitting). 13.01.2022 Environment Minister Sussan Ley has admitted the grove of birthing trees are significant to the traditional owners, yet she has given the green light to Daniel ...Andrews to bulldoze through this sacred site regardless. By refusing to protect these vitally culturally important trees, Sussan Ley may as well be driving Daniel Andrews bulldozer herself. The Victorian Government needs to go back to the drawing board on the Western Highway duplication. This road project is not worth the bulldozing of tens of thousands of years of Aboriginal heritage.

03.01.2022 I want to talk about this old fella here for a moment. This tree, a Eucalyptus obliqua, more commonly known as a stringybark; is one of the largest and oldest i...n the entire country - measuring 17 meters around its base. He stands in a logging coupe about to be felled, with 87% to be wood chipped. We also measured 13 trees that had a circumference of over 12 meters in just one section of this coupe. All a stones throw from the World Heritage Area. I don't like to push ideas onto other people, but this has to stop. There's no need for these ancient forests to be cut down. Our state government here in Tassie loses tens of millions of dollars every year doing so. I believe there's a place for forestry, we all use its products, but we don't need to clearfell old growth forests. If you can do me and this big old guy in the photo a favour. Share this message. Tell your mates what's going on. Come and visit it. Write to your local politician and our premier and tell them we don't want this to continue.
