The region also grows zucchini, squash, cucumber, capsicum, chilli, ginger, sweet potato, macadamias, strawberries, snow peas and beans all grow abundantly! Lychees and melons are summer treats and locally grown pineapples are very sweet. The trawlers bring in fresh seafood daily and the regions seafood is some of the best in the world! Locally caught scallops, bugs, prawns and spanner crabs are local delicacies. #thegateway

01.01.2022 After years of working closely with Bundaberg Regional Council and undertaking valuable community consultation, we are excited to take another step forward towards delivering The Gateway, a multi-stage residential, commercial and marina lifestyle development, expected to drive strong economic growth for the region. Commencing early next year the on-land works will see the establishment of a marina office with convenience store, chandlery and tour facilities, as well as a Gat...eway Marina display suite that will provide information to the community about the development. Meanwhile, dredging of the Burnett Heads boat harbour continues in preparation to accommodate the first of our marina berths in the new year.
