A Distinct Identity and Connection The Australian Commando Association NSW has been the stalwart of support and social of commando family for decades. A connection with official history back to M and Z Special Unit Association, WWII independent Company Associations and 1 Commando Association, we have grown to who we are today as the largest association of its kind in Australia representing the greater Special Operations and Commando community wherever they may be. We are driven by a connection of service to country, a proud bond to one of Australia's greatest military units and most importantly one of mateship and family. Although Sydney based and our association labelled as NSW our membership is Australia wide and we have many members in remote and international locations. Borders are not a barrier to our commitment to our members and brothers. We aim to do our part to encourage camaraderie, maintaining relationships, and providing support to any person connected to commando activities throughout Australia's military history. This includes commando veterans and active serving commandos, members and veterans of connected and supporting units, and especially the families, whether or not they are a members of the our association. We strive to continually build and maintain links to all Australian Commando and related Special Operations Units and Command. We actively work to preserve, promote, celebrate and remember core Australian commando history and tradition and take part in any ceremony where commandos are remembered. We will support, promote and arrange activities of a commemorative, memorial, social or sporting nature, publish periodicals or newsletters and respectfully and carefully use social media to communicate items of interest to our membership, and friends. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you feel you are connected, are looking for a mate or need some sort of support.
