25.01.2022 Hi Everyone! We have some news! Halberstdter is here!!! We are very excited to announce that we have (finally!) received our first/trial order of Halberstdter premium sausages in jars, and tinned Kassler, Spezial Eisbein and assorted sandwich meats. These sausages and meats from Germany really do taste like Heimat, we are so happy to be able to bring them to you after many months of work and waiting for them to arrive!!... Stocks We have experienced ongoing issues with getting stocks in some areas, but are finally seeing some movement in the right direction. We apologise for the frustration and thank you for your patience. We have the first of the Christmas stocks expected to arrive shortly, we will put them onto the site as they arrive. For those of you who like to bake for Christmas at home, dont forget we have a range of Elsbeth Mller spice mixes available, including Lebkuchen (ginger bread), Spekulatius and Stollen (in the Seasoings & Spices section). We also have more Dr Oetker baking products on the way. 19.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Liebe Gruesse from the beautiful Bega Valley! We have a couple of quick updates for you:... Weve received a few questions about Halberstaedter, so we thought wed better explain: our supplier is not supplying Halberstaedter any more, so we are making room for a new range of meats/sausages. If you love the delicious Otto & Willie sausages, you should be excited! ;) May is a month of many public holidays in Germany, so we have a few orders which are stuck in the works. They have started being dispatched out of Germany now, so it should not be too much longer before we get replenishment. Thank you very much for your great patience. The specials on red cabbage, sauerkraut and selected dumplings will end soon, so dont miss out! Find them in the "Zum Sonderangebot" section of the shop. We need to close the shop for a few days: we will close from 5pm Sunday, June 16th (tomorrow) and re-open at 8am on Friday, June 21st. 18.01.2022 WINTER IS COMING!!! Weve already had some cold blasts this year, people are saying it is going to be a very cold winter. Except for you lucky people in Queensland, where your winter is forecast to be on a Thursday this year! But dont worry, we have stocked up on everything you need to get you through: we have Ricola varieties, Pulmoll, Em-Eukal, and of course we have plenty of Fenchel Tee (fennel tea) and a range of Bad Heilbrunner teas to get us all through the season. ...Not to mention Spaetzle, flavours and sauces for some hearty winter dishes. 16.01.2022 Hi Everyone, It has been a month since we re-opened the shop, the time has gone so fast! We love your emails, Facebook messages and phone calls! Stock is building up, not as quickly as we would like, but we are progressing... To other news... First, the challenges; we found out late in the week that product which was due to arrive from Germany last week has done a big loop and has returned to the dispatch point in Germany (if it wasnt real, it would be funny!)! To everyone who has requested items and has patiently waited for them, we are so, so sorry, but it will take another couple of weeks now. To the GOOD NEWS!!! We are building up stocks and have actually managed to scoop purchase some of your favourite Schwartau jams. We are passing the savings on to you, our customers, so right now Schwartau jams which were $11.79 per jar/tin are only $8.99!!! You can find them in the spreads product category of the website (where you will also find Grafschafter Goldsaft sugar beet syrup; just arrived)!! We now have all Zeisner Ketchups in stock, which also came at a good cost, so the current price is $12.99 per 800ml bottle (down from $14.19). Some other stock items which have arrived include Alstertor fish varieties, Bechtle Spaetzle, Almdudler, Karamalz (Original and Lemon Fresh), Hela Curry Ketchup (Extra hot!!) and Dallmayr Prodomo decaffeinated coffee, among others... 13.01.2022 Emails and Stock Hi Everyone, we hope you all had a great Easter! We had some work done on the website recently and we have become aware that our email is now not working. Our IT gurus are working to fix this, but in the meantime could please send any emails to [email protected]? More stock has been coming in, we now have Ritter Sport chocolates, more Knorr varieties, Bad Heilbrunner teas, fennel tea, more coffees and Ricola varieties (was $6.79, new pr...ice is $4.99!!!). 12.01.2022 Dear Friends, These are extraordinary times, nobody seems to be unaffected by the COVID-19 pandemic and our little shop is no different. We were fortunate to have received some orders out of Germany before the worst impact of the pandemic began to take hold, so we have had good stocks of most items. However, the panic buying we have seen here in Australia has been a phenomenon in Germany, too. Many wholesalers have had difficulty keeping up with demand and we have been unable... to get more stocks of most items at the present time. When this will return to normal we do not know as yet. We are already seeing some signs of supply beginning to return, but only on a limited number of items. Therefore, if you have placed your name on a wait list for some products, please be patient; we will restock as soon as we can, but it may be a while before we can access more stocks out of Germany. We are currently experiencing an unprecedented volume of orders, so if there is a day or two delay in dispatching your order, we ask for your understanding, patience and thank you in advance. Easter is on our doorstep! We will close at 5pm Easter Thursday (April 9th) and re-open at 8am on Tuesday, April 14th. We wish you all a very Happy Easter! 08.01.2022 Hello Everyone, Christmas time is here!!! We have FINALLY received our second delivery of Christmas goodies, just in time!!! We now have Marzipan Potatoes, Stollen (500g and 200g), more varieties of Marzipan loaf and even BAKING MARZIPAN. This year we also have cute little premium Stollen bites. And we still have plenty of Dominosteine, Pfeffernuesse, Lebkuchen, Cinnamon Stars, Carstens Premium Marzipan, Mozart Ball gift packs and lots more.... 04.01.2022 Hi Everyone, There seems to be some confusion over postage charges after the changes made by Australia Post last September. We would like to explain the changes. The small, medium, large and extra large parcels (previously 500g, 1kg, 3kg and 5kg) can all be sent with a weight of up to 5kg if you can fit the items into the box sizes approved by Australia Post. For example; we could only send 1 jar of jam in a 500g box before last September, but we can now send 3 jars in the sa...me size small parcel. However, 1 box of dumplings will only fit into a medium (previous 1kg) shipper, so we have to charge for that size postage, even though the weight is less. We will always try to pack orders in the smallest box we can and refund any extra postal charges. For the B4 box (5-10kg) Australia Post used to charge a flat rate Australia-wide of $29.80. They have changed that and now the cost to send a B4 Box will vary both by the weight and how far the box is being sent. For example; to send a B4 box weighing 10kg to Sydney will cost $26.59, to send exactly the same box to Western Australia now costs us $42.53. However, we will not charge our customers more than $29.80 postage for that parcel. As the calculation is so variable we have left the charge on our website at the flat rate of $29.80. We have been, and will continue to issue a refund when the postage charge is less than the $29.80 charged by the website. We hope this helps to explain the complex changes made by Australia Post in the pricing of postage. Thank you for your ongoing support! Melisa & Oliver :)
