19.01.2022 *** News on our baskets that we did not ever imagine would happen so close to Christmas** SORRY IS ALL I CAN SAY I am a very honest person so this is what has happened over the last little while in short.... - We have been working on our new design. So excited and chasing a dream. - We get the baskets woven overseas and send them to partner Millie in Nelson Bay to handcraft all of the leather work. - The previous batch was a success of samples and we were so stoked and happy to get them started: - We were waiting last week/ this week to get the next drop of baskets 100’s of them... noticed they were in customs so felt safe to deliver them this week. - Unfortunately a note turned up in the mail and the baskets were damaged/ destroyed in transit/ customs. - This is the first drop.. whether the rest have/ will be is also the unknown. Meaning... our dream for Christmas has been shattered. We are saddened to say that we will not be doing pre orders nor basket orders for Christmas unless a miracle occurs. I (Holly) am sooo sorry for this! I’m devastated and am so sorry to all of my wonderful customers especially those who have been waiting patiently. Free Shipping on these guys, making the perfect Christmas gift. Wrapped, packaged in a drawstring bag and sent straight to you.... This Collection is all about the balance between calm and sophisticated. Our designs are classic, cosy and made with high quality finishes. We have used both 100% linen and Linen Cotton Blends to suit all of our customers. The shorts - elastic waistband and drawstring in a relaxed fit. Tops - 3/4 sleeves, cuffed in a relaxed fit. For the home, bedroom, beach, lunch, you name the occasion! Being the first collection here at The Good Gift Co, we have started with two colours and two fabrics. - Natural Gingham = 100% Linen - Charcoal Gingham = 55% Linen, 45% Cotton Sizing is relaxed and slightly oversized for maximum comfort whilst sleeping. The silhouette is tailored so it's still stylish while being comfortable. We find the sizing is generally true to size. Small = AUS 8 to 10 Medium = AUS 10 to 12 Large = AUS 12 to 14 We hope to grow our loungewear collections and incorporate more colours and sizing in 2021. 17.01.2022 There’s a lot happening here at the moment, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Thank you so much for the orders and support! My little helpers have given me a hand this weekend and I wanted to send out a reminder of some key dates. This week is the cut off for ready made Christmas Hampers all that is available online is all that we have left.... The loungewear will be shipped out the first week of December. The new baskets (that were pre ordered) will be shipped out the week of the 7th of December. We will have create your own hampers available from the 27th of November to finish us up on the 10th of December for all Christmas Postage Orders. Australia Post has requested all Christmas orders to be shipped by the 12th enabling less delays and presents getting to you on time. Local Deliveries >> can be made up until the 17th of December and will be delivered the week of the 21st. Let the festivities begin

07.01.2022 MEET THE MAKER While today is the day we have launched our first drop of bags I thought it’s fitting to share the maker! This is Millie, we have joined forces to create these new bags and she is the one who handcrafts all of the leather. Read Millie’s beautiful words below:... Over the past few years I’ve been self teaching the art of leather craftsmanship. ...If you have heard my story before - you will know this process began when I was handed down my grandfather’s tools from my mum during my last year of university in 2015... It has taken a lot of time and practice to build my confidence and skillset to a point where I value my work enough to harness these skills on a collaborative level. (There is always a sense of heightened pressure when it involves not just your own brand integrity, but someone else’s too)! To be immersed in designing and making pieces that celebrate the beauty and heritage of this age-old traditional technique everyday is just pure happiness. There is always a new task to be challenged with... Physically its a tough gig - Yet the reward and satisfaction of making something that will last forever totally outweighs the effort. Making pieces with soul and purpose. That’s what I’m here for. Being able to take these skills and help bring another person’s idea to life makes me really proud. That’s so hard for me to say. Little did I know back then when I was handed a beautiful old, dusty suitcase of leather tools & treasures - which had been hidden away for decades - that I would be here 5 years later keeping the legacy alive. So much more than I would have ever imagined. These special handcrafted baskets I worked on with Holly are made using my grandfather’s heritage tools, all the way along the design and making process. I think that’s pretty special... (especially if you’re someone that has been lucky enough to land one of these in the first small batch drop Holly has released today. Don’t worry - they’ll be more coming after Christmas)! I can not wait to share with you more snippets along the way once we get started!
