Not only are their beans roasted just around the corner in Warana but the crew at Kai Coffee are changing the world with their humble brew. ... For every kilo of coffee that Kai sells they feed four children living in poverty. How does this work you ask? Kai supports The Shepherd Centre in Kabale Uganda, a children's home that provides food, shelter and safety to more than 50 boys rescued from the streets. Kai's project provides these children with three meals a day. They also partner with Feed the Hungry Australia and through this partnership, they've been able to provide more than 7,500 meals per month to children living in Northern Uganda, and rising. 09.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who joined our beach clean event on Sunday morning. We were so impressed with everyone's efforts to remove more than 20 bags full of rubbish from the beach! A big shoutout to the crew who travelled all the way from Caboolture to join in! It was heart warming to see members of our community bonding and making new friends. ... We also want to give a big thanks to the girls working front of house in the cafe on the day, they were amazing and got everyone caffeinated and feeling great before we set off. Couldn't have done it without them! If you missed this event, don't worry because we will be planning many more for times ahead.

07.01.2022 This is Lucy, her hobbies include playing in the mud, getting scratches and playing in the fields with her new-born litter of piglets. Lucy lives happily at the Forage Farm in Mary Valley alongside her piggy friends, sheep, cattle and a lot of chickens! However, the Forage Farm isn't your typical farm. It's a regenerative farm, operated by third generation regenerative farmers the Andrews family. Regenerative farmers do things a little differently. These pigs, alongside the...ir other animal friends move paddocks 1-2 times per week, slowly migrating in a snake like pattern. It'll be an entire year before Lucy returns back to this particular paddock! This gives the soil and landscape time to recover naturally without the use of chemicals causing distress to the land. And because the Andrews family don't spray chemicals in the paddocks that their animals graze, their animals don't digest harmful toxins, which is much healthier for them and for us! Forage Farm supplies us with our bacon, pork belly and free-range eggs and we choose to work with these guys because their values align with ours. We love their farm so much we wanted to share it with our customers. So, this weekend we are hosting a breakfast and Forage Farm tour event. Tickets include: - Breakfast at The Good Place using produce from the Forage Farm - Tea and coffee - Return bus trip to Mary Valley - Forage Farm tour - Picnic lunch We've put an event up on Facebook where you can buy tickets or visit us in store.
