22.01.2022 CAFFEINE DEMONS! - We all love coffee, right? But we also all love pandemic prevention too, right? - Well, as of 30th November all cafes, restaurants, and bars in the NT are obliged to get patrons to check-in when the visit their premises, and we are no exception.... - So you may have seen these QR code’s floating around a bit lately, and it’s pretty simple to use if you have a phone that’s less than about 5 years old. Just open your camera and hover it over the QR code, after a moment a little link should pop up at the top or bottom of the screen that takes you to a website with a form on. Fill out the info and answer the questions to the best of your ability, and presto! we are saved. If you have any trouble, let us know and we’ll sort out a link for you. - Your data will be automatically deleted after 28 days so hopefully no nasties will end up in your inbox. - We know it can be a pain in the arse, and feel a little 1984, but a couple of things to bear in mind, a: if something ever breaks out in Mparntwe, it will help with contact tracing and minimise the harm in what is a very vulnerable community up here. And b: it’s not something that’s optional for us (we could incur a business-halting fine), so please be patient with us while we try and figure out the best and most diplomatic way of fitting this into our and your routines. . 18.01.2022 Howdy folks! We will be closed this Friday public holiday, and on Saturday - 3rd & 4th of July. As I’m sure many of you are well aware, there’s quietly been a pandemic on, and we’ve been working our sweet tushies off without much let up. So we’ve decided to take a little weekend break to celebrate the middle of the calendar year (or thereabouts) and have some much needed rest.... We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in this incredible community who has stood at or walked through our doors while we’ve recalibrated ourselves over the last few months. We have been brought tears by people’s support and generosity and cannot express enough our sincerely gratitude. So, thank you. And also, thank you for understanding our need for some downtime. Apologies for our absence of caffeine provisions over this weekend. However, fear not! 01.01.2022 Remember this?! Good news - from tomorrow you will be able to enjoy the winter sun on an old faithful green chair outside the Goods! . This ability for us to do this depends on your co-operation however, so please LISTEN UP, because we’re gonna have to do this together: You must practice physical distancing - we will have a limited amount of seats and they will be placed in order to help with this. If you come with your family or housemate and want to sit close PLEA...SE PUT THE CHAIRS BACK when you leave. You can’t hang out for more than 2 hours We will be accepting reusable cups again, but absolutely only if they are clean, and please don’t give us your lids. We can serve your food and drinks in our cups and on our plates, but we are bound to the indoor space so you will need to bring your dishes back to us when you’re finished. The fortress is too tricky to get in and out of! Wash your hands, and please don’t venture out if you are unwell. . PHEW! Ok! We’ve got this!
