17.01.2022 This is the lovely Jo and Craig Stewart of @thegourmetgoatlady delivering a load of whole Chevon Boer goats to us today. Like all farmers, the Stewarts have spe...nt years in drought and things have been very tough. But they’ve had rain out at Collie and there’s been a miraculous transformation and the dusty paddocks have burst back into life. A few days ago, Jo told Craig that she’d been out on the farm when her little grandson threw himself delightedly into the foot-high clover and before she knew it, she was down there with him, rolling around in the unthinkably lush grass and shrieking with pleasure. To which Craig sheepishly confessed that he’d done exactly the same a few days earlier while checking on the goats in a far paddock. I love this story and the exchanges that we have with the farmers we represent. Thank goodness for the rain, our short supply chain and farmers like Jo and Craig. #boergoats #farmedgoat #rain #regenerativefarming #connectwithyourfood #shortsupplychain #transparency
