25.01.2022 Well well, it looks like we’re nearly back on the road. The Victorian Government has (slightly) relaxed the directives around leaving your home, so it won’t be long before we reopen our tours, overnighters and gravel bike hire. Also, we've rescheduled the (mini) High Country Gravel Grind bikepacking ride to Melbourne Cup weekend (30 October to 2 November). There's a fair chance domestic travel will be unrestricted by then ... if we all behave ourselves and stick to the script in the coming months. We’ve had the endless backroads to ourselves on our #isorides for too long. Just a little bit longer and you can come up and see us for your own slice of winter gravel heaven

22.01.2022 Trav’s bike shop has departed the Old Beechworth Gaol (hopefully he’ll find a different spot in town soon - we miss you @beechworth_cyclery), and in its place is the temporary home of the Gaol Cafe. Coffee by @sixpencecoffee, snacks from @tastetrekker, and the perfect start location for your Beechworth Gravel ride this long weekend. We even snuck one of our Bombtrack rental bikes in when they weren’t looking ....

21.01.2022 With the relaxing of travel restrictions on the horizon we thought we'd tweak our hire equipment a little. Originally we offered Bombtrack gravel bikes for hire, now we offer the same bikes plus sets of bikepacking bags. Each set includes seat pack, half-frame bag, top tube bag, handlebar roll and fork bags (these require you to have mounts on your fork). Pictured are our Restrap bags on one of our Bombtracks, we also use Apidura and Blackburn bags. Busting a gut to get up... to the High Country's wide open spaces and breathe in the clean air? A bikepacking trip is the way to go. Check out some of the fresh routes we've published on our website, book in a hire bike and set of bags, and get rolling. We look forward to welcoming you back to Beechworth and the Victorian High Country! Ride High Country Bombtrack Bicycle Co. Restrap

15.01.2022 The "props" (3 of our hire fleet) for our market stall are ready to go for tomorrow's High Country Comeback Event - 2nd Feb at Port Melbourne's Timber Yard. Although to be honest we just want go ride somewhere on that first Bombtrack that has all the bikepacking kit on it...

15.01.2022 Gravelmob is heading to the big smoke this weekend with a host of other High Country crew for this .. the High Country Comeback 2020. "We're coming to you, so you come back to us." Many of our region's businesses were hit hard by the January bushfires, either directly through damage or indirectly through cancelled bookings and lost trade. But we're back open for business, and we need you to help us restart 2020. ... Gold coin donation gets you through the door, and there'll be around 100 businesses showcasing their wares on the day. If you're anywhere near Port Melbourne this Sunday come and say g'day.

12.01.2022 Ride reconnaissance ... this little cutting has a steep approach and a slightly sketchy descent. And it’s on the High Country Brewery Grind route. April 24-26. Get on board.

06.01.2022 In light of the current Federal and State Government directives around non-essential travel, Gravelmob has made the decision to temporarily stop taking bookings for our tours, overnighters and gravel bike hire. We all need to take steps to limit the spread of the virus, and whilst encouraging visitors to Beechworth to ride bikes in our wide open spaces might seem harmless enough from a personal contact perspective, the reality is that none of us know whether or not we've alre...ady been exposed to it. Gravelmob doesn't want to be responsible for an unsuspecting customer bringing the virus to our little town. Tourism in Beechworth and the High Country is already suffering lasting effects from the January bushfires, so this decision wasn't taken lightly. It's temporary, and as soon as travel restrictions are lifted and/or the virus threat is lowered we will be back in business. We hope to see you then.

06.01.2022 OK folks, so with under 10 days to go until the original (mini) High Country Brewery Grind bikepacking ride it's clear that on ANZAC weekend we're still going to be under the restriction limitations regarding non-essential travel. So this note confirms that we're postponing this event until later in the year. Those of you who've already bought campsite tickets can either leave the tickets open or ask us for a refund. We're stoked that so many of you had planned to come for a roll, and we hope to see you all in spring - date TBC but possibly Melbourne Cup weekend (1st weekend in Nov).

03.01.2022 A bit further back up this track is a rutted, rooty, rock-strewn section that is best ridden on a mountain bike ... which is probably why it’s so much fun on the Curve Grovel!
