16.01.2022 RedBack’s Finally come out from under the tarp since it’s big trip to Bitva Robotov, Russia 2017 and it’s getting a revive! We’ve ditched the winch motors too much effort to get them working well. Going to see how it runs with T64’s. We've cut the robot down both lengthways and sideways. Running chains on the outside. Will work out some protection for chains and tyres. But for now this has felt good to do this after having it sit there for a couple of years. Now for a test drive.

15.01.2022 Starting on the rebuild of Redback with a totally empty shell we can see the damage done by Zenzals heavy horizontal blade and we are pretty pleased how the alu...minium welds held up. We are currently redesigning the shape, working with a new weapon motor, keeping it 4 wheel drive instead of 6 with new drive motors, hubs and wheels. The new build will probably see Redback sitting close to the 110kg weight size . Pretty exciting times ahead See more

12.01.2022 Touch down in the land of kangaroo. 1am All bags accounted for! Now killing some 4hrs here with harley for our 7am domestic flights. ... Has been a kick ass adventure fighting robots. So Many layers of awesome, experiencing a different country, being in such a theatrical show, it has been like none other. From the lively personality of the referee and judges to the talented young dancers. Your competition style is your own and its really cool. meeting many intelligent friendly fun happy and cool builders international Russia, Iran, India, Brazil and Turkey. Time in The pits has been a totally loose majorly fun time. Spending quality time with Australian members. Glad to find we work so well as a collaborate. We have our own teams usually in Aus - MJ Robotics, Rotwang Robotics, Wolfe Industries. Miles and Jules have done so well building a combat ready heavy weight to take overseas! Being apart of the greater World Festival in Sochi. Thank you Promobot and Sberbank for inviting us. We couldnt be more happy to hear of Oleg and Alex positivity and satisfaction for the competition. For us putting on a good show for the crowd is number one priority and I think, I think we nailed it. Its very very cool and fascinating to meet the Promobot team and learn of the company. the multimedia team were all awesome people. They amassed a lot of picture and video I cant wait to see. We break many expensive things this week but these legends have it all from multiple camera. Our management people like Anna very lovely people our translator Danill so very kind and warm hearted we would be lost without your translation I still know only a few Russian words but I think ill work on it. We are already planning for the future of Australian heavy weight this will not be the last you see of these crazy Aussies This for me is the pinnacle of my 17 years in robot combat competition. It has been an incredible other worldly experience I have enjoyed every moment. Thank you Miles and Jules for having me with team Redback I feel so lucky! Congratulations to Team Webber RU, Team Prostefilia BR and Team Shooter RU for first second and third!!
