25.01.2022 The first thing I thought of making when I received @changsasianfood amazing delivery yesterday was Chocolate Spiders! They are done in less than 10 minutes and are ridiculously addictive and delicious! The recipe is on the back of @changsasianfood Original Fried Noodles and below: Ingredients:... 1 packet, 100g Chang's Original Fried Noodles 2 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter 200g milk cooking chocolate Method: Microwave the chocolate and peanut butter in microwave safe mixing bowl for about 60 seconds on high. If not melted, then microwave again in 10 second intervals. Mix well until it is a smooth paste. Add noodles and coat them well. Using heaped teaspoons spoon the mixture onto grease-proof paper, or into individual paper patty cases. Place in the refrigerator until set. 18.01.2022 Hashbrown Crust Asparagus Quiche! Perfect for any time of day but my favourite time for this dish is brunch. Recipe details are below: For the hashbrown crust: 4 medium potatoes, coarsley grated 1 tsp salt... 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper 2 tbsp vegetable oil 2 tbsp butter For the filling: 1 tbsp butter 1 brown onion finely chopped 6 large eggs room temperature 1 cup light sour cream 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper 2 1/2 cups grated cheese. I used 2 cups of cheddar and 1/2 cup of Parmesan 1/2 cup milk 1 bunch of asparagus 1/2 tsp thyme Method: Preheat oven to 180 degrees Using the largest holes on a box grater, shred potatoes. Place in a large bowl and toss with 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper. Transfer potatoes to a clean dish towel, gather together the ends of towel and thoroughly wring out excess liquid over the sink. Transfer potatoes to a bowl and set aside. Heat oil and 2 Tbsp. butter in a 10" (top diameter) oven proof skillet over medium-high until butter is melted. Add potatoes and immediately start forming into a crust by pushing potatoes flat against bottom and sides of pan. Continue cooking, pressing potatoes up sides of pan if they start shrinking, until potatoes are bound together and the bottom of the crust is starting to brown, about 10 minutes. Remove pan from heat and set aside. Meanwhile, melt 1 Tbsp. butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Set aside. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, sour cream, milk salt and pepper. Set aside. Sprinkle cheese and sautéed shallots evenly over bottom of the potato crust, then pour in egg mixture. Arrange asparagus and sprinkle with thyme. Bake until quiche is set and crust is well browned, 30-35 minutes.
