05.01.2022 AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR MEMBERS & THE COMMUNITY COVID-19 has now been classed as a Global Pandemic. It is a fast-moving situation, that is changing day-by-day. The Government restrictions to limit gatherings and events is a directive that Orange Ex-Services Club takes very seriously and will abide by in all instances. These restrictions that the Australian Government has implemented, is to limit the spread of the virus and to keep the population at large as protected as ...possible, in an uncertain and ever-changing environment. This is an extreme and unprecedented situation for Orange Ex-Services Club, the community and Australia as a nation. We would like to assure the community that as an organisation we are proactively taking a wide range of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus. The Board of Directors, Management, and all staff are taking the below steps and we ask all our patrons to comply with these necessary measures. Upon entry, you will be required to use the hand sanitizer stations that have been positioned at each entry point. We have a staff member monitoring this. Orange Ex-Services Club has always had in place a rigorous cleaning regime and our cleaning team does a fantastic job, every day of the week. In light of the current situation, we are now putting in place even more stringent cleaning practices across the whole club. The most important hygiene action we can practice is to wash our hands. We ask all members of the community, to wash their hands regularly, using water and soap. This action should be undertaken for at least 20 seconds, as is recommended by Health Professionals. At this stage, we would like to inform everyone that our usual Club activities of Raffles on Thursday, Friday and Sundays along with Bingo Monday Friday and Poker are still being conducted. The Greenhouse of Orange is fully operational and is still taking bookings. We have an amazing outdoor area where the garden is in full bloom and there is ample space to practice social distancing. Unfortunately, there is misinformation that is spread around the community regarding this virus and the current situation.
