22.01.2022 Pollinators are extremely busy at the moment. This photo was taken in my backyard where we have many pollinator attracting plants. They’re nearly all natives but we do also have a couple of lavender plants that are popular meeting places for the bees. Planting pollinator friendly plants is important for our food security. The plants attract the insects who take the pollen or nectar as their food source. In doing this they also pollinate the crop plants in our area and ensure continued growth of our food supplies. If you’re thinking about planting something new this spring, pollinator friendly flora will be very rewarding for you and the insects #pollinators #grevillea #foodsecurity
