25.01.2022 In the final episode The Last Frontier The Gulf Country Frontier Days Festival. We would also like to take a moment to pause and pay respect to the ones who have crossed over into the Great Dreaming. We remember them and keep the flame burning bright in their honor. The Gulf Country Frontier Days Festival is the authentic Outback Australian experience and brings together National and International musicians, Indigenous and First Nation's performers, and Australia's best cowb...oys in the heart of Queensland's Lower Gulf Country. The Festival revolves around the Medicine Circle Dance Grounds, where First Nations performers from around the world share their arts, storytelling, culture, dance, and theatre. Plus Frontier Days Rodeo and the only National Indigenous Rodeo Championships, in Australia. This APRA affiliated event is one of the richest on the Rodeo circuit and attracts Australia's top Rodeo talent to the Gulf. On opening night, First Nations cultural performers from around the world take to the stage, for dance and theatrical performance in the Kabarrijbi Wangkijbi Spectacular - The Coming Together of Nations. An experience not to be missed! 05.01.2022 A MAGICAL moment on the sacred salt flats in Burketown QLD 2019 Shakaya dances with her little sister Dixie and cousin Timesha. If we never do the festival again.......I will live with the knowledge that our daughter Shakaya danced her tribal dance on her country with her sisters, cousins and mothers while the world watched on ... Our festival was never about money or big crowds......it was always about this moment here! The PEOPLE is what mattered, the PEOPLE are the sacred......our kids are our legacy #ShakayasHeart Clip: 2

03.01.2022 In honour of our precious daughter Shakaya Today is the 18th birthday of our girl Shakaya, she crossed over into the Great Dreaming on the 12th September 2020. Kaya suffered all her life with rheumatic fever a heart disease that affects the heart values. In 2019 she boarded a bus from cairns after asking for leave from her boarding school Yaragun to join us in Burketown QLD.... In this clip she is dancing with her baby sister Dixie, Delray, cousin Timesha and Aunty Roseanne. This is why our festival is important......it gives our children in the bush the opportunity to perform and be proud of their culture! Our festival demonstrates to the kids how important they are to our future and it gives them a platform to show their beauty Clip: 1
