17.01.2022 I spent most of today down in Coolangatta, talking to our local small businesses about how the border closure and other Palaszczuk Labor Government initiatives ...are impacting on them. I kept hearing the same feedback: The Premier needs to deliver certainty around when the border closure will end The Palaszczuk Labor Government's small business grant program (which was only open for four days) was woefully inadequate in terms of the time to submit and the number of available grants Consistently, the biggest issue is the border closure, which is impacting considerably on our businesses. I will continue to be a strong voice for our community by calling on the Labor Government to provide certainty. I note that the Premier was on the Gold Coast today, but she was too scared to come and talk to local businesses in our area.
