25.01.2022 Working in isolation in a locked shop to get everything up on the website. Anyone want to guess how many unique items in the store? I don’t know the answer yet myself! Thanks to Gibsons for a hot lunch to keep me going

24.01.2022 We’ve got a new issue of IndieRoad Magazine in store now. There’s patterns using cotton and features on makers and designers. Grab one and a coffee from next door, and give yourself a bit of slow time xx

24.01.2022 Since January 1st we’ve been collecting for Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund who support Gippslanders in need during times of crisis. We’ve counted up the contents of the preserving jar and we’re delighted to say that our customers (and us) have donated $492.75 We cleaned out our yarn and fabric stashes and offered them in exchange for a donation to GERF. I picked up a few pieces of cute quilting cotton for my $$, how’d you go?

24.01.2022 We’re closed now until Thursday. Don’t forget to visit our online store if you’d like to browse before then Www.handmakersstore.com.au

23.01.2022 How’s your entry for the Tea Cosy Festival coming along? It’s even easier to enter now that you don’t have to post your entry. If you haven’t started, it’s time to getting cracking. We’ve got another project lined up for you

22.01.2022 I’m managing to add about 20 products to the website each day (on average). Today was all about knitwear.. beanies and socks for kids and adults, gloves and even a couple of tea cosies! Speaking of tea cosies- have you finished your entry? www.handmakersstore.com.au

21.01.2022 It’s true! We’ll have a limit to the number of people in at any one time, hand sanitizer by the door and all the other necessary precautions that are the new normal! Our makers have been busy and the store will be brimming with lots of new goods! We’re looking forward to showing you! Our opening days over winter will be Thursday to Sunday. See you soon! Helen, Cath, Kristen and Noleen. X

21.01.2022 Kristen’s just listed a lovely new chair. https://www.handmakersstore.com.au//ck-edwardian-bri/1588

21.01.2022 Hello lovely locals. We’ve had a few requests for information on how to make Joey pouches and where to send them. Wildlife Victoria has now released a statement to say that they’ve been inundated and can’t take anymore, which is brilliant news! Wires is still taking donations for birds nests, I’ve made a few and will be sending them soon. If you’d like to contribute you can drop them in to The HandMakers Store and I’ll send them off together on Friday. They also have a knitting pattern on their website and there are instruction videos on YouTube.

20.01.2022 In line with recommendations for everyone to stay home and stay well, we’ve decided to close for the time being. If you need anything from our store, or you’d like us to send something to someone on your behalf, let us know and we’ll try to help. Stay home Stay safe... Keep crafting See more

06.01.2022 I’ve had this little banner for a few years now, it’s always appealed to me. I didn’t think it would serve a purpose in our shop window though. Till now. Stay home, stay safe and keep crafting. And please, if you’d like to escape to South Gippsland, to be in our quiet rural towns and wide open spaces, please wait till this blows over, for all our sakes. And then we’ll welcome you with wide open arms. #stayhome #staysafe #keepcrafting #craftastherapy #southgippsland

06.01.2022 We’re plugging away at the website. Let us know if there’s something you’ve seen in the store that hasn’t made it there yet, or if you have questions about something that is already listed. It hasn’t been well behaved at picking up all of the photos, but they’re being corrected too. ... Tomorrow’s job is listing yarn and more cards. Mother’s Day cards are listed, and there’s lots of potential gifts if you like to go down that path. Www.handmakersstore.com.au
