05.06.2022 Sadly we announce the permanent closure of The Happy Yak. Due to the extensive damage and loss caused by the flood we are not in a position to bring back the Yak. On behalf of Phill, Kylie, our family and staff, we would like to thank you all for your loyalty, love and laughs over the past 7 years. We had an absolute blast and couldn't have done it without all your support. Thank you

23.05.2022 We have so many people to thank for all their help over the last few days. Whether it was moral support or practical support it all means the world to us. All we can say is Thank You! The commradery in Gympie is amazing and we are proud to be a part of it. You are all amazing and we love you.

18.01.2022 The Happy Yak is seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated junior to join our team. We have a casual cafe junior position available for the Christmas and summer period. Perfect for a Year 12 student heading off to uni. Duties include providing fantastic friendly customer and food service, food prep and cleaning duties. You must be available during school hours, however we understand you may still have exam commitments. If you are a people person, able to multitask and work well under pressure bring your resume into The Happy Yak.

We will have a limited menu available including Nachos and Acai and lots of salads packed and ready to go. Drinks and gelato will also be available. Salads, that were not ordered, are available until sold out. Open at 8am and closing at 1pm (or earlier if sold out). Merry Christmas xxx
