Only at your appointment time, please ring the doorbell, located at our back door. A staff member will answer this and safely screen you. 4. You will be taken to a nice private room to wait for the Doctor and or Nurse.

24.01.2022 Dear friends, family, patients and community. Im not sure any of you are aware of our current struggles to get our hands on PPE equipment - masks, protective gowns and hand sanitiser. The government has purchased all of these for the hospitals - which is fair enough but it has left all medical centres struggling. We have had soo many orders cancelled as the stock had been taken from the warehouses to be distributed to the hospitals. We have so many patients that still need ...to be seen that dont fit the criteria to enter the practice or a COVID clinic. Who knew 2020 would see drive by medicine. Our staff have removed sutures, staples, assessed wounds, given immunisations - all in these carpark consults. Please do not hoard the masks, protective clothes and hand sanitiser as the medical centres are almost at critical levels. We are doing our best to keep everybody safe so please help us to keep our beautiful staff safe. If you see masks, gowns or hand sanitiser then please let the medical centres have the opportunity to purchase first. If you know of any supplies please let us know. It is currently costing the Practice up to $30 in PPE (when used) per patient.

17.01.2022 Happy News Alert Tomorrow marks our 1 year Anniversary for The Health Hub at Eaton Fair. 12 months ago we started seeing our very first patients and clients. When Cahleen and I set out to build a community medical centre we could never have imagined what we could achieve together!... I could not possibly be any more proud of The Health Hub at Eaton Fair. It has been hard work for all of us and I cannot thank my beautiful family enough for their patience, love, support, guidance and help. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing network around me. We currently find ourselves in the midst of a health crisis and global pandemic. I reflect on this, despite the stress, and smile with pride and happiness for the absolutely amazing team that we have around us each day. The Health Hub at Eaton Fair has wonderful people who work behind the scenes, Nurses, Doctors, Support Staff, Admin Staff, Allied Health.... and we thank you all for making The Health Hub so special. We will all work together, despite challenges, to continue to look after the community and provide a service that you can all trust. 13.01.2022 Adapting to the needs of the Community The Health Hub continues to remain proactive and adaptive making ongoing changes to better suit the needs of the Community during these challenging times for everyone. We are pleased to announce that The Health Hub will open at 0730am weekdays in order to permit a priority hour which will accommodate our special clients who are over the age of 70.... Only those aged 70+ will be able to attend the clinic during this priority hour set aside especially for your needs. The clinic will be freshly cleaned, there will be less foot traffic and the waiting room will be less crowded / busy. We want you to know how valued you are to our community and we want to show you the respect and kindness that you all deserve in these uncertain times. These appointments can be booked online, through the AMS Connect App or by calling our friendly Reception team on 97072793 and asking for the "Age 70 and over Morning Appointment". Standard appointments (for everyone else) commence at 0830 onward. We have also made changes to our closing weekday and weekend hours. We will now close at 6pm Monday to Friday. We will be open 9am to 1pm Saturday and Sunday. This is to hopefully give our Doctors some much needed rest in the evenings so they can better look after you in these trying and difficult times. We will also be commencing Car Park Assessments by our GPs for patients who are unwell and need a physical assessment but are deemed to be low risk for COVID-19. These appointments will occur in the rear car park behind the Practice in our designated emergency bays (in the undercover car park). They will occur between 5pm and 6pm weekdays. The GP assessing you will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for everyone's safety. All patients will require a Telephone or TeleHealth video conference triage appointment / consultation prior and these appointment types can only be booked by the Practice (and not online). This is to ensure the ongoing safe care of our patients. Please share this information with your loved ones, especially those in your life over the age of 70. This information will be updated on our website shortly. Please note this is not a permanent change and these changes are in response to COVID-19.

11.01.2022 Our hearts have exploded For those of you who have been following; Santa has safely delivered the presents ready for Christmas morning! I would like to introduce you all to Danika, her two sisters and her Mum and Dad........ A couple of months ago, just before Danika’s 5th Birthday, she required her first brain surgery. After celebrating her 5th birthday at PCH she came home. Unfortunately, this was short lived and she had her second brain surgery to try and reduce the size of what they now know is an aggressive brain tumour. Throughout the last few months Danika was separated from her sisters and extended family and friends. Being school holidays her sisters and Dad have now moved into Ronald MacDonald house meaning they can all celebrate Christmas together. It is likely that their home away from home is going to be their HOME for an extended period of time. 10.01.2022 Bulk Billed TeleHealth and Telephone Consults now available with our GPs The government have announced, effective immediately, that GPs can now consult with patients via video or telephone and BULK BILL if they meet the following criteria; - diagnosed with COVID-19, but not admitted to hospital... - self isolated or in quarantine according to guidelines - Over the age of 70 - Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background and over the age of 50 - Pregnant - Parent with a child under 12 months old - Person with a chronic medical condition - Immunocompromised / Immunosupressed Please, if you meet ANY of the above criteria, we advise that it would be in your best interests to consider booking a TeleHealth Video Consultation (first preference) or a Telephone Voice Consultation (if video or technology not available). TeleHealth Video Consultations can be booked through the AMS Connect App by selecting appointment type TeleHealth (as you do for other appointments) and then the video conference can be joined through the AMS Connect App TeleHealth option when it is your appointment time. Telephone Consultations can be booked the same way or by calling us on 97072793. We welcome and support these new changes and we encourage you all to consider the above.

08.01.2022 You are not alone The Health Hub is pleased to update you - that following today's Telehealth medicare expansion - we are now able to BULK BILL EVERYONE with a valid medicare card for Telehealth and Telephone consultations from tomorrow (Monday 30th March 2020) This means that you no longer need to meet eligibility criteria for a bulk bill Telehealth (video) or Telephone consultation with your GP.... This will help slow the spread and keep people safe. To book a Telehealth or Telephone consultation please visit our website and click "Book Appointment". You then go to "our services" and click on "phone consult" or "Telehealth". A phone consultation will take place without a video link. A Telehealth consultation is undertaken through the AMS Connect App where you will be able to see your Doctor through a live, secure, reliable video link. Telehealth medicare items have expanded and now include routine care, antenatal and postnatal care, GP Mental Health Care Plans, Chronic Disease Management Plans ("care plans") and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Assessments. These can all be booked through our website now. The Health Hub will continue to provide face to face consultations where appropriate. You will continue to be screened when making an appointment and on entry to The Health Hub. The Health Hub team continues to adapt to the ever changing environment in order to keep you safe whilst providing the services that you continue to need. 05.01.2022 Flu Vaccines Have Arrived Are you 65 years old and over? The government Flu vaccines are now available at The Health Hub (no charge). We also have private Flu vaccines in stock for everyone else between 6 months old and <65 (charge for the vaccine).... Government vaccines (no charge) for those <65 years old who qualify for a "free" vaccine are not yet available. We expect these in the near future. Should you choose to have one now you can purchase one of our private flu vaccines. We will be having all of our flu clinics in the rear car-park this year so that people can stay in their cars and comply with safe social distancing. A Doctor and Nurse will consult with you in your car, vaccinate you and monitor you for 15 minutes afterwards. Please book online under " Flu Clinic" and "Flu Vaccination" or by calling 9707 2793. You will be provided with further instructions upon making your booking.
