24.01.2022 ‘I was drinking everyday and eating whatever I wanted’ This mum of three wanted to be the best mum and wife she could be, but her lifestyle was letting her down. It was affecting her mental health and she knew she had to make a change. Here is Robyn’s story.. Here goes.... I was drinking everyday, stuck at home in stage 4 lockdown in Melbourne & homeschooling 3 kids... ... I was always in shape. Years of netball & gym everyday & could get away with the drinks & eating what I wanted. Even after I had my baby, I was one of those lucky ones who went back to pre baby weight. Then I turned 43 this year & it was a photo of me last Christmas in my bikini (I’ve never had a prob with being in my bikini) & thought OMG, when did I start looking like that Then I’d drink some more because I was depressed as I thought I looked awful & the drinking became everyday & I would still train with my PT everyday & that gave me permission in my head that I can still drink at night I’d end up grumpy & snappy & no energy to be the mum I want to be to my son & step kids. Or the wife to my beautiful partner. I’ve known the beautiful human Demi Stewart for a few years & I had seen her posts about all the transformations & she reached out. I wasn’t ready then but I went away & thought when will I be ready? Then I contacted her again & said ‘Let’s do this’ & that was over a month ago....BEST DECISION I have made! I have more energy to be the best mum possible to my kids & the best wife to my partner. That was my goal I wrote down at the beginning of my journey & I’ve achieved it. 23.01.2022 Can I get a hands up for all the mummas out there battling to find a bit of personal space!! Who can’t go to the toilet alone, or have a shower in peace without having a little person follow you in or hear them crying just as you step inside the shower. How about every time you sneeze which use to be no issue, but now you cross your legs in hopes you won’t wet yourself. The joys of parenthood. . . I am now 5 weeks postpartum and just settling into motherhood as a family of... 4. Two kids is a massive game changer. Everyone wants a piece of you. From morning until night time it doesn’t stop. Our daughter will be 3 in a few weeks and we’ve just managed to get her back into her own bed after months of trying and giving up every time. She still wakes 2-3 times a night wanting me. Can I just add that she slept through from 6 months, but due to renovations we were out of Home for 4 months and completely threw her routine out. Then you are up 2-3 times feeding a newborn. It just doesn’t stop. But as hard as some days are, we have amazing moments together and watching how much our daughter loves our son is the reason you have kids in the first place. It does teach you patience and to not sweat over the small stuff. You just need to breath and we will look back on this one day and think these were the best days of our lives. We just have to get through it first . . 17.01.2022 ‘The new way of earning an extra income’ When covid 19 first hit I saw an opportunity to take my personal training business online. This meant I could spend more quality time with my children at home and not have to travel to clients houses to train them. But financially this meant id have to have at least 40-50 clients all doing my online classes at the one time to make any kind of decent income. That could take me a very long time and seemed pretty impossible really. So I ...started a side business... Even when I was in the peak of my career in a corporate job or had the most success with my PT business I never took home this much in one week! This kind of money means we don’t have to stress about our finances especially at the moment with my husband down to 3 days per week. It means we can save money for our new house and invest a little of it as well. The best part about this is, I’m doing it all from my phone and in the comfort of my house. I’m not working 9am-5pm slaving away in an office job for 30 hours per week to get this kind of income. I’m working an extra 1-2 hours per day. I still get to spend quality time with my kids. 10.01.2022 Today marks the end of my first 30 day nutrition challenge and I have loved it. It pushed me to my limits and some day’s I wanted to cave, but I had a goal in mind and I wasn’t about to ruin it by sneaking in an unhealthy snack. I started this journey 3 months post partum with my second child. I thought I’d bounce back fairly easily as I did with my first, but I was very wrong. I went back on keto lost a bit of weight and than gained a bit more. That didn’t really work for m...e this time so I just went back to eating healthy and my weight just would not budge. I was exhausted physically and mentally. Drinking 4-5 coffees per day to give me that kick of energy I was looking for, but it did nothing. I was drained, grumpy and just not pleasant to be around. I couldn’t sleep at night and I couldn’t get up in the morning. I haven’t stuck to the program 100% over the 100 days (pretty hard being in lockdown in Melbourne) but still have had fantastic results. But that’s what i’ve loved about the program. I can still enjoy a drink on the weekend or a cheese platter and it doesn’t affect my results. It’s so sustainable and I know I will keep my weight off long term because I can still live and enjoy my life without compromising my results and that’s important to me. 05.01.2022 Today marks the end of my husbands 30 day nutrition challenge. 30 days ago he was tired all the time, drinking too much alcohol and just overall feeling really sluggish. 30 days on he is only 300 grams off his goal weight of 85kgs. ... His starting weight was 95.1kgs and is down to 85.4kgs which is a total weightloss of 9.7kgs!! He has also lost a total of 39.5cm over his entire body. With the biggest loss of 13cm around his waist. After the fist day or two of adjusting to less food and a drastic diet change, he began to feel so energetic, less stressed and happy. He would even sleep so much better. 02.01.2022 To my numero uno We made it to one whole year of marriage and what a year it’s been. We went to Italy, Greece and bali for our honeymoon, we got pregnant, welcomed our second child into the world and survived isolation all without killing each other! But on a serious note I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else. Who would have thought meeting in the dingy upstairs bar of deluxe after cox plate 7 years ago we would be married, have two children, two dogs, 3 fish, a house and a partridge in a pear tree together I love the life we have created together and the memories made.
