24.01.2022 Despite our closure, we were grateful to contribute to a cause close to our heart this week. Dress for Success Hobart empowers women in Tasmania to achieve financial independence by offering career development tools such as resume support and interview preparation, as well as fitting them with tailored, high-quality and second-hand workwear to build confidence, resilience and ambition. Over 1000 outfits have been donated by the local community through the doors of The Henry... Jones Art Hotel over the past twelve months. Thank you, Tasmania! This week a team of Federal Group volunteers sorted another 500, and delivered them to the Dress for Success boutique in Hobart, with the help of Jackson Volkswagen who have supplied a snazzy new car for the organisation. 02.01.2022 Wabi-Sabi Bones by Steph Houstein. Steph Houstein confronts her physical decline and limitations of living with MS. The title itself is a Japanese aesthetic, which loosely means 'embracing the imperfect'. This sums up the way Steph now has to approach her practice and her daily life. These beautiful bright artworks are exactly what we need in our lives right now. Check them out in the IXL Long Bar, 2nd floor corridor and the hotel print rack.
