16.01.2022 Mb & Ben have been talking to community about their aspirations and concerns. The topic of Black Lives Matter has been a common theme from community and workers alike. A few community members suggested a BLM mural in 2770 or filming a music video to have youths voices heard and empowered. They have decided to do both, with community voice really leading the project! Yesterday they started the conversation with youth in Bidwill about BLM and got their feelings, ideas an...d hopes for Mt Druitt expressed in art. The Hive team and their partners feel it’s very important to not just have a mural and a video but to keep the discussion going about the injustices that Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People’s face in the stride for liberation. NSW Health has raised the following alerts this morning: Anyone who attended KFC at 2A Bunting St Emerton on Monday 7 September between 12.00pm to 9:30pm to be alert for symptoms and immediately get tested if any develop, and stay isolated until a negative test result is received. Anyone already identified as a close contact is being informed they must isolate for 14 days, get tested and stay isolated even if a negative test result is received within this period.

Act for Kids are running a group on Friday mornings at the Willmot Hub in Term 1 to help your child practice routines, follow group instructions and other skills they will use at school. Parents must stay onsite and will get information about how to help their child get ready for next year, morning routines, how to work with the school and have any questions answered. **Spots are limited, so please message our page as soon as possible to lock in your place!**
