19.01.2022 Tinkering with a chassis for the 12th Pancar GT. :-) Feel free to enquire about 3D design and 3D printing service. CNC routing coming soon.
18.01.2022 Entries now open for the 1st round of the NEO Challenge via the SDMCC website April 6-7 https://www.ians6.sg-host.com/AlycatOED/SelectMeeting.php
18.01.2022 T.H.E has been experimenting with some translucent plastic. Looks useful for vases, bowls, cups etc., trophies, ornaments and cosplay costumes. Who knows what else the imagination can come up with. Have some ideas for 3D printing message T.H.E :-)
18.01.2022 A simple and basic Ducati Tacho surround for a customer.
17.01.2022 I am patiently waiting for the chance to test some new parts. This is a Tamiya TT02B Neo Scorcher that will to be setup as a 13.5T motored spec class buggy. At this stage I have designed and made shock towers for Tamiya TRF big bore shocks, ball raced steering bellcranks, steering servo mounts and shorty battery strap. More mods are planned for this mule. :-)
17.01.2022 These are some retro Team Associated T4 Factory Team front suspension parts for a couple of locals in their first interation ready for testing.
15.01.2022 T.H.E 2wd test car, an old Yokomo B-Mx2 MR. I have printed for test fitting some V2 front and rear shock towers and wing mounts. The V1s eventually broke on large jumps so extra material was added for the V2. They will be printed in a variety materials and a cut version from carbon sheet will be tested. If you would like a designed, prototyped or produced item simply send a message to discuss your needs and wants (Not just RC related). :-).
15.01.2022 Tinkering, tinkering. Old, out of production part for RC nitro truck. I will be testing these using Nylon Carbon Reinforced plastic. and possibly PLA Carbon Reinforced plasctic.
14.01.2022 A new toy to play with and modify. I have since pulled it apart partially before running to do some minor mods. I have long term design plans for this machine. :-)
14.01.2022 Design and fitment check complete. Next step is to 3D print in a variety of materials to see which is suitable for strength. The inserts will also be made in a variety of materials including CNC cut carbon fibre. These test prints were within 1 gram weight as the kit originals.
13.01.2022 This is an unfinished design for my CNC router PC work station. It is fun experimenting with simple furniture design. T.H.E is looking forward to producing items on the CNC Router. Custom designed home furnishings, gaming products, modelling and prop products, and of course RC products. :-)
13.01.2022 Found this Cosplay 3D file to do some test printing with glass filament.
13.01.2022 T.H.Es first ever Carbon filament printed item. This is the front shock tower for the Yokomo 2wd test car. A little tweaking with print settings should result in good final products. This filament is stiffer and harder than the usual filament I use. It will be tested further to see what parts it can be best used for.
11.01.2022 Test design upon request from Jason Storr. SDS One piece wing riser block for TLR Eight-X buggy. Update edit: After a quick consultation with a renowned RC driver, V2 has been completed to hopefully" cater for other brand wings. Designs have been done for 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 12mm. Test print happening now. :-)
11.01.2022 I have been do a little tinkering this weekend. Ducted fan blower prototyping in early stages. Feel free to message me to see if T.H.E can help you with a project of your own. :-)
09.01.2022 New power supply mount for T.H.Es CNC router. Printing now :-)
09.01.2022 A quick test print of a 30mm droop block for 8th buggy. For Jason Storr.
08.01.2022 Browny wanted some hex adapters for his old Yokomo 2wd buggy that normally uses a pin drive. About 3 hours later T.H.E had a design and a complete print. A sizing error in the design and therefore a first print failure result in an editing of the design and another print made. I think some carbon hex adapters would be nice. :-)
08.01.2022 Since I have a spare rear motor 2wd chassis not being used I decided to convert it into a 12th scale Stadium Truck (T.H.E Wasp). It has a 225mm wheelbase and uses standard 10th buggy track width. Parts are in prototype stage, chassis and motor plate will be in a variety of materials. Want something designed/3D printed? Contact T.H.E :-)
07.01.2022 Playing around with a Tekin RX8 ESC mount for the new Traxxas Rustler. Should work with all Traxxas Slash 4x4 based chassis.
07.01.2022 Non-RC drive train 14t 48dp Pinion gears. These are press fit onto the shaft.
07.01.2022 Test fit. Needs some tweaking.
06.01.2022 Latest prototype of the new flipper assembly. Another first.....using magnets as an quick fit, quick release.
04.01.2022 First 3D print prototype V1 for a Scorpius Wireless slot car controller case. Left had side of case done in white. Original clear case for comparison. Needs some dimensional tweaking. A good place to start from for future changes. :-)
04.01.2022 Lower shock mounts for the Traxxas Rustler 4x4. The stock shocks are prone to blowing off their caps so I found some shocks that had the same stroke, but they were shorter. So before I play around with new shock towers etc I prototyped lower mounts. A bonus has been the multitude of lower shock mounting positions. Testing to be done at the Whyalla RC club track this coming Saturday.
02.01.2022 Hmm. A simple little part for another passionate RC racer. V1.
02.01.2022 Garden Railway 4 wheel wagons I have been slowly working on. 1:24th scale. Based on South Australian Railways narrow gauge. :-)
01.01.2022 Some more tinkering on a personal project at T.H.E. Plastic Fantastic ;-) 1/12th Pan Car chassis.
01.01.2022 I recently have had two of my recliner chair mechanisms break. Rather than buying a complete mechanism I designed and made the parts I needed. Having the design files at hand means I can easily 3D print another in the future. If you have a need for parts and repairs, or you want some bespoke items, perhaps T.H.E can help. Simply message T.H.E on this page, email [email protected] or message 0437 068 492 for further details.
