24.01.2022 Meet the team! Tomoko, Ada, Esther, Rodger, Eric, and Michael. We're currently in Japan with a small group this time, mostly fellowshipping with our ministry partners along with some time doing ministry at Seikyo Gakuen High School. We're currently in Osaka, and back to Tokyo for the weekend. Love to catch up with you if you're able to make it to any of the following:... - WEDNESDAY 7pm, Kitahama International Bible Church, Osaka (fellowship service) - SUNDAY 12pm, New Hope Yokohama, Mirai Hall, Sakuragicho (church service); 1pm, Grace City Church, KDDI Hall, Otemachi, Tokyo (church service)

24.01.2022 We just had a heap of fun giving a great bunch of kids from Kings Christian College tips on doing short term mission to Japan! Our team will be joining them to serve our good friends at Seikyo Gakuen High School in Kawachinagino.

24.01.2022 The team for 2018 had a great time on the weekend getting immersed in some Japanese culture in preparation for the mission at the end of September. Many thanks for the amazing ladies from Japanese Christian FellowShip in Brisbane for their great enthusiasm sharing some of their incredibly rich culture with us!

23.01.2022 We had a fantastic time last night fellowshipping with our friends at Kitahama International Bible Church.

22.01.2022 We had a load of fun with our mission team cultural immersion day on the weekend! Some of the team have been to Japan a number of times, but some never have, so had a great taste of some of Japanese culture including calligraphy, traditional dress, language, manners, worldview, and even rolling our own sushi lunch.

22.01.2022 Friends in Tokyo (Kanto)! This afternoon we are honoured to be sharing our service presentation The Way at New Hope Tokyo! We will be fellowshipping at the main service at 14:00 (2pm), then doing the presentation at the youth and young adults service at 16:00 (4pm). The location is the OCC BUILDING 8th floor of Ochanomizu. Hope to see you there!

22.01.2022 Worship, fellowship, prayer and food on the second day (24/09) with our friends at Lighthouse Christian Church, Sakai-shi, Osaka. #hopecollectivemission2018 @david.fell

22.01.2022 Days 5 and 6 on mission. At Seikyo Gakuen High School we’ve been blessed to take our ministry to this amazing school since we first started taking teams to Japan, back in 2012. We got to do our full service presentation ‘Jesus The Way’ in the chapel in front of about 500 high school students! ... #hopecollectivemission2018

20.01.2022 Were now on Instagram! Come check out some photos from the truly blessed time we had with our church family at Riverlife Baptist Church celebrating what God is doing with our ministry to the wonderful people of Japan

20.01.2022 Today was a special daywe were part of the opening of our home church Riverlife Baptist Churchs amazing new building! What a great blessing it is to now have a place that we can do so much more for Christ, in our church family, the community, and far far beyond.

19.01.2022 A few snapshots of our wonderful time at Seikyo Gakuen High School and Kindergarten on Thursday and Friday. We had a truly blessed time meeting with staff, sharing Aussie culture, leading a Christianity class, a workshop with their new worship band and then have them play with us at chapel the next morning! We then had such a fun time with the super cute kids at the kindergarten running games, songs and craft. We're now in Tokyo and attending Grace City Church and New Hope Yo...kohama services on Sunday. We'd love to catch up with you if you're there tomorrow! Blessings!

19.01.2022 A great article that touches on the history of Christianity in Japan. What many people dont know is that there was a very real chance for Japan to become a Christian country in the Sixteenth Century, but many factors (including missionaries not contextualising their evangelism) saw a crackdown and martyrdom of hundreds of thousands of Christians in the Seventeenth Century and an opposition to the faith that is in-grained in the cultural psyche. God is the God of miracles however, and we continue to hope and pray for age-old strongholds to be knocked down and the message to be heard by the worlds second largest unreached people group (see https://joshuaproject.net/unreached/1?s=Population&o=desc).

16.01.2022 We had rehearsals this week for Japan Mission Sunday, which is this Sunday (26th August) at Riverlife Baptist Church! Services are 9am and 5pm, Jennifer Street, Seventeen Mile Rocks. The Hope Collective band is leading worship and you'll hear a little about what we're doing on mission.

16.01.2022 The Hope Collective 2018 team (missing Tomoko and Jo, who had other commitments back home during the second week). Such an amazing group of servant-hearted people with so many great God-given giftings. Although weve just touched down back in Australia, watch out for more photos coming soon from the last week of mission! P.S.: If youre wanting a nice, but really well priced hotel to stay at when visiting Osaka, Hotel Chuo Oasis in Shin-Imamiya is an awesome choice! Weve bee...n staying there most years since the first team mission back in 2012, making friends with the managing staff. Drop us a line if you want more details! #hopecollectivemission2018 David Fell
