11.01.2022 ** We are hiring! ** We are looking for an experienced Gardener or Labourer to join our existing team! We are looking for someone that is physically fit and is ...constantly thinking of the ‘bigger picture’, the ideal candidate would have previous experience in gardening, landscaping or labouring, however, this is not essential attitude is everything! This person would be an addition to our existing gardening team and would be required to meet at Ropes Crossing at the start of the day to travel to jobs together during the day. Whilst most of the work would be gardening (removing weeds, mowing, edging, blowing and planting), ideally this person would also be willing to assist with furniture assembly and other tasks as required. Due to travelling together it is not essential that the candidate has their own transport however they would be required to make their own way to Ropes Crossing at various start times. All training and support will be provided to the successful applicant. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strongly encourage all potential candidates to apply. The successful candidate will be offered a casual contract to start with the expectation of working approximately 24 hours over 3-4 days (Monday to Friday). 05.01.2022 When The Hospitality Warehouse was first created we developed the business with Quality and Service to be our philosophy, this perception and offering are measured in many ways, however, this week we want to talk about the quality of the world we leave behind. Throughout the media this week there has been multiple instances of both positive and negative influences changing the way our world will develop over the coming years, for us and more importantly our children. From th...e ABC's 'War on Waste' to the United States withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement, there is so very much going on the world and it is sometimes difficult to understand the part that you could play. So today we want to encourage all of our followers, supporters and customers to do something different and help us lose sales! We want to encourage everyone to consider the impact that our purchases have on the environment and the effect we can have on international supply chains. There is a link at the bottom of this post that outlines an initiative to reduce the consumption of coffee cups that are distributed to local cafes, shops and restaurants - we strongly believe that this initiative is a great idea and recommend you have a read. For those that don't know a lot about our growing business, we have very stringent requirements for our suppliers and on multiple occasions have chosen the expensive option, or the difficult option or completely refused to do business with a company that does not share our philosophies. As an example, the chemicals that we distribute and so proudly attach our brand to are manufactured within Australia, are packaged where possible with recycled packaging and in most cases are biodegradable. Our coffee cups and lids although disposable are 100% compostable, are composed of recycled material and are sourced from sustainable resources. We appreciate that not everyone has the time, money or knowledge to understand the complete impact of consumerism on our environment and this is why we make every possible effort to provide knowledge, high-quality service and environmental based decisions for our customers.
