21.01.2022 Is YOUR Cervical screening up to date? Did you know that Pap smears have been replaced by Cervical Screening tests, which can be performed the same way? The aim of these tests is to identify whether a woman has HPV and more particularly, a strain of the virus that is associated with Cervical Cancer.... The time between testing has been extended to 5 years if your test is completely normal. Gardasil injections given to school aged young people can protect against the virus that causes Cervical Cancer. This together with regular well women checks and Cervical Screening, can be life saving. Please ensure that YOURS gets done :-)
