24.01.2022 Throughout the years, hundred acre bar has seen a lot of changes! Did you know that we used to have a sail instead of a roof? In 2014 a cyclonic storm ripped through the restaurant taking the sail (and exhaust system) with it. While this was devastating, it became an opportunity for our restaurant to grow. It took 12 months and a lot of love from Hans and Jens but the hundred acre bar was back better than ever (roof and all)!... They say "when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade" and that is certainly what we did. We have so many new and exciting things to share when we come back and we cant wait!

23.01.2022 Life feels funny at the moment but we have had time to reflect. Looking back on what once was and how far we have come. Did you know that we were once based in the same building as our sister venue, Hillstone St Lucia? Back then we were known as Veranda Restaurant it was home to two of Brisbanes first Swedish Baristas guess who! We were one of the first places in Brisbane to serve breakfast outdoors and on a nice day (like this one) we would use the Mango Tree Terrace ... Thirty years is a long time ago but we cant wait to see where the next thirty will take us!

22.01.2022 Told you we would be back! Its been a while since our bar has been buzzing with activity, and we are so excited to announce that we will be reopening from this Friday 12 June! Whilst our restaurant section will remain closed for a little while longer, we will be opening the doors to our Bar, joining our Golf and Garden Golf Putt Putt! We cant wait to share our new bar menu for casual dining (no bookings, walk in only!) with a new array of craft beers, unique wines and groov...y cocktails joining our line up. This limited production Gin from Tasmanian distillery @brockenspectregin is infused with 100% Tasmanian grown saffron and 16 other aromatics including juniper, coriander seed, lemon myrtle, strawberry gum, star anise and vanilla bean. Back then our wine guy (Jens) hand wrote the menus and we were then known as The Club House! One thing that has stayed the same is our love for wonderful wines. Stay tuned for our next wine list!

03.01.2022 As we are all aware, there is significant concern regarding the threat of COVID-19 in our community. A number of guests have made contact this week, asking if well be honouring bookings in the coming weeks. Our restaurant will remain open and we will honour reservations, as long as it is recommended and safe for our staff and patrons. We are closely monitoring advice from the State Health Departments and at this point we will continue to operate as normal. Extra vigilan...ce is also being applied to hygiene standards to minimise the risk of infection for our staff and visitors. This includes: - Ensuring thorough hand washing protocols are correctly followed. - Regular and proper cleaning and disinfection of hard surfaces and high touch areas with anti-microbial sanitising solution. - Avoiding touching eyes, nose or mouth. - Avoiding close contact with people who are sick. - Staff showing any signs of illness or who have travelled overseas in the past 14 days will not be allowed at work and will require a medical certificate before returning to work. - Ensuring proper processes for raw foods and produce preparation including both cleaning and sanitising control points. We ask that you support your friends and neighbours, look out for each other, and dont forget, were all in this together! We look forward to your continuing support.
