20.01.2022 We are all mourning the fact that Singleton Show wont be happening but The Hunter River Times still wants to celebrate this iconic event. One of the favourite sections with the children is the decorated arrowroot biscuit so we want this to happen. Now is your chance to spend some fun time with the kids under 12 years of age with the virtual Singleton Show decorated biscuit competition launching now. There are two categories - 6 and under & 12 and under (age on September... 21). All you have to do is decorate a plate of six biscuits, post your childs image with the outcome in the comments along with what age category and get your family and friends to like it. The entry with the most likes will win. The first place prize for both categories is $50 and what child wouldnt want to win that! Entry is open to anyone so crack out the icing sugar and decorations and have some fun. Lets celebrate the tradition of Singleton Show a little differently this year. Our next edition will feature the biscuit winners and also some of the champions of the 2019 Singleton Show. And who knows, there might be a ribbon or two to hand out. Entries in our virtual Singleton Show decorated biscuit competition must be posted by 4pm, Monday, September 21st. Xander Anshaw has already got a head start!
