22.01.2022 Is this the next Me too campaign?
22.01.2022 A big shout out to women in all leadership roles on International Womens Day. Whether its CEO of a large organisation, organising the local footy club, or managing the family - women bring a unique set of skills which are vital to organisations and the community. In todays uncertain and volatile world, leadership competencies such as building relationships, interpersonal intelligence and community concern are vital. Women need to support each other and recognise the unique talents we all have to offer.
20.01.2022 The Four Corners investigation is frightening viewing - how do we know our elder loved ones are being cared for properly? This is my mother-in-law Vera, who is in a care home in England. She still has a smile on her face, but because of her dementia she cant tell us how she is being cared for. So we just have to trust our judgement on what we see when we are there. Im passionate about helping to create engaged aged care workplaces so our seniors get the care they deserve.... It starts with strong and clear leadership - communicating what behaviours are and are not acceptable, and not accepting anything other than 100% integrity. As a society we need to value our aged care workers, and that means proper funding, training and leadership. Lets hope the Royal Commission has some genuine recommendations that can be acted on, and it doesnt become a political football to be kicked around. See more
20.01.2022 I presented a webinar today on Creating a MAGIC workplace. If you would like to watch you can download the recording here. https://zoom.us//I4o6g_4ErFVTZFt8SlZGk-2KR6h3DCA9fdPEhbMKS
19.01.2022 Im very excited to collaborate with Laura Sutherland of 3D Recruit to provide this workshop on activating your organisations values. We are particularly targeting it to managers and leaders in the aged care industry. This couldnt be more topical with the Four Corners Investigation and the announcement of the Royal Commission into Aged Care.
18.01.2022 Happy Halloween
15.01.2022 Prepare your workplace for COVID-19
13.01.2022 Even if your business isnt in mining and resources - the sentiment in the WA economy affects us all. Were not there yet - but heading in the right direction for a positive 2019!
13.01.2022 Some synonyms for healing...
12.01.2022 Future world of work, based on achievements rather than hours at your desk.
11.01.2022 I was honoured to be invited to represent small business interests at the WA Methamphetamine Action Place Workplace Forum. Clearly there are many services available to support Meth users, but do small business owners know how to access them? Large corporates often offer employee assistance programs to their workforce - where they can get free, confidential advice on all sorts of problems, but this is often outside the budget for a small business owner. In my experience small... business owners tend to react to the problem - misconduct/behaviour issues, lateness and absence and do not have the knowledge or skills to recognise when there is an underlying drug use issue. And the reality for many small business owners is that they simply dont have the resources to support someone through their journey to kick the habit. Whilst I appreciate that the motivation for drug users is individual and varied, what can an employer do to help an employee feel valued, connected and fulfilled, reducing the need to escape into drug and alcohol abuse? #creatingmagicworkplaces What support and action do small business owners need? Let me know in the comments. See more
11.01.2022 Im excited about running this Webinar to share my experience of creating MAGIC workplaces.

10.01.2022 Wow this is such a powerful message about equal pay, and more importantly that girls dont value their worth.

10.01.2022 At the #LASACongress2018 with @3Drecruit with our Halloween themed stand. Learning lots about Aged Care.
09.01.2022 3% is a lot higher than many people will expect this year, especially in WA. Are all your employees paid above their award rates? Ive seen many employers unknowingly paying below award, especially if your staff work more than 38 hours per week.
09.01.2022 I was privileged to present today at a Family Business australia breakfast, celebrating women in business. Great stories from all the panel members.
09.01.2022 Interesting article... Artificial intelligence and analytics may make managers decisions more consistent and objective. But humans have a fundamental need to connect, and this is a key pillar of employee engagement. So the question isnt "will robots replace managers", but "how will managers interact with robots/AI".
08.01.2022 Very excited about our new products for aged care, its a great industry to be involved with.
08.01.2022 Im running this workshop on recruiting your next team members. Its FREE to all business owners, brought to you by Business Local.
07.01.2022 Do you find some conversations are difficult and always end badly? Or maybe you are scared of the potential conflict and ingnore them? This video gives you some handy hints and tips.
06.01.2022 What a beautiful day for a business meeting!
05.01.2022 This makes so much sense - the unreasonable person is the one that shifts the world rather than adapts to it. Thats where innovation happens. Id love to talk to you about a different way of leading your people - to nurture and encourage your "unreasonable" employees.
05.01.2022 On behalf of the Small Business Development Corporation I am running a webinar on what you need to do as an employer in the current crisis. You can register here https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/webinar-crisis-management-i

04.01.2022 Is WAs workforce bruised and damaged? How has our long-running downturn impacted on employees levels of engagement and commitment? How do employers re-engage employees to take advantage of the upswing we all hope is coming? Have a read of my latest blog, and feel free to post your comments http://www.indigoshift.com.au/waworkforcebruiseddamaged/
03.01.2022 I’m excited to be one of the first CILCA accredited practitioners. It’s a powerful tool and will help transform leadership in Aged Care.
03.01.2022 I love facilitating a monthly Forum with Family Business Australia members. This video is me being interviewed on why I love what I do (excuse the noisy environment) Do you run a family business? Are you looking to take over the business from Mum or Dad? Or handover the reins to your son or daughter? Joining FBA and a Forum Group may just be a life-saver!
