10.01.2022 BACTERIA WARNING! That car seat that’s been sitting in the back of your car for months untouched could carry more germs than the average toilet, according to new research. Health groups are warning parents to be aware of the germ buildup after a group of researchers evaluated the hidden bacteria that goes unnoticed in many infant car seats, as reported by Modern Readers.... Researchers took swabs from seats and analyzed the samples for signs of substances that could be harmful to children. The study suggests that each square centimeter on average contained at least 100 bacteria and fungi. The average child’s care seat appeared to contain double the number of dangerous germs than an average toilet seat, which had about 50 per square centimeter. Among the more alarming bacteria found were triggers of Salmonella and E Coli, according to the findings.
