22.01.2022 HAPPY 2021 EVERYONE Holiday Time + Family + Friends + Beach + Sun + Poke Bowl = one very happy girl!!!

21.01.2022 Every single day of our lives our bodys are automatically programmed to rebuild, balance, heal, restore and protect us. Every second each cell in our body is coordinating billions of tiny chemical reactions that keep us alive: Every day our heart beats 100,000 times Every month we completely regenerate our outer layer of skin... Every 3 months we completely rebuild and replace our blood supply. Every 10 years adults completely rebuild and remodel every bone in our body. So we need to look after ourselves the best we can. The choices that we make today will impact the way we feel and function in the future. Our body is constantly sending us signals about what it needs to restore balance and make us feel our best. We just forget to listen. So just slow down, create space, breathe and start listening. Some simple tweaks could set you on your way for a healthier and happier journey ahead. Quote by Jim Rohn

19.01.2022 DO YOU HAVE A ‘HAPPY’ PLACE? Some magic destination, a place or or a homely space where you like to go to get away from the busy hustle of life? A space that brings you joy, helps you to feel grounded, or where you can go to just breathe and collect your thoughts? May seem a little random to some but my ‘happy place’ is my vegetable garden. It was one of the best decisions I made when we renovated our home 10 years ago. ... For me it’s been a steep learning curve to become an ‘urban’ organic vegetable grower but I have loved learning the foundations of how vegetables, fruit and herbs grow, to see them flourish and thrive (or sadly die ) each season and then how nourishing they are to eat picked straight from the earth. I love that the produce nourishes my whole family. This special place is nourishing for my body and soul. Having a happy place is a great outlet when you just need a breather. Do you have a happy place? If you don’t, maybe it’s time to find yours @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

08.01.2022 Ok here’s the thing...it’s summer here in Australia and most of us are feeling pretty weary from the challenges of 2020. It has been a lot to go through. And we are still in the midst of this pandemic. Suddenly the holiday period is here and it’s time to put on the swimwear and summer clothes. Many of us have experienced some level of weight fluctuation (gain or loss) over the past year. ... Weight fluctuation is normal - bodies change and our eating habits and behaviours can often be impacted and derailed when faced with difficult circumstances. Consequently I’ve had and heard MANY conversations over the last few weeks with people commenting very negatively about their own bodies, shaming themselves. Body shaming ourselves (and of course others) is NOT normal and until we learn to call it out and eliminate this language from our vocabulary, it will continue to be normalised. We don’t have to love every inch of our body...but make peace with your body, appreciate everything it does and accept it for how it is. You are so much more than those few kilo’s you gained or lost.

07.01.2022 Having a break from the daily grind! Although I do love cooking and creating in the kitchen, having a break from the routines and letting someone else cook and clean is AMAZING! When dining out it is pretty easy to continue to make sensible and nutritious food choices...and if you prefer to order the pancakes with maple syrup, the bacon and egg burger and the fries because that’s what you love - that’s a win too! Food for the soul.
